Chris-Chan: A Comprehensive History

Incorrect. I read info from the farms, and never read anything verbatim.

Chris (or null on Chris' account) responded on Twitter to deny she had anything to do with the ban after many people accused her of taking it down, so it is relevant.
You got me, instead of reading information other people compiled on one site, you read it off of another site. Congrats on your grade-A journalism.

I will concede the second point since I forgot that people did blame him for that, but the butthurt on your end was palpable. Complaining that your first channel with X subscribers remains banned "even to this day" (or whatever your verbiage was) is whining, plain and simple. For what it's worth, I'm still going to keep watching your videos even if you're a sellout; they're nice to put on in the background. Props for including "nigger" in your last one, by the way.

Mark me autistic but I gotta suck Geno's cock on this one.

As someone who takes regular mental health breaks from the CwC show, I actually like the glitch intro. It really gives a feeling of impending doom, and reminder of what you're in for. Not saying I wanna see a full youtube poop intro by the time we get to the merge, but if magichan/sonichu/blue heart/jesus is inhabiting CwC's body there should be flashes of them in the intro. The sponsorship was jarring but... a man's gotta eat.

Geno being self-referential makes sense if Chris is going to binge the series and have a long hard look at himself... or get STRESSED and retreat further into fantasy. If something impacts Chris's life if should be in a comprehensive documentary.

At the very least he learned everyone from his past was fake so "she" can be even more fake too. I swear classic Chris wanted his troll sweethearts to be real so bad that he convinced himself they were real in another world, another dimension...

Also Geno's doc had to be introduced to explain the ripoff doc about Randy Stair because the overlapping fans would go on to do things.

I like the glitch into too. I kinda wish that he started that trend earlier but, seeing as how he is coming to the end of any available info in a Chris, this was a pretty good spot to start the deterioting, Better Call Saul style intro bit with each future episode.

Okay sure get that bag, get that bread, shit's expensive and these videos take time and effort to make; but the way the sponsor plug was integrated into the video completely ruins the integrity of the documentary and brings my autism to a boil.
Yeah, that sums up my take.

Geno, I've defended you before and won't hesitate to again if I think critiques of your work are unfair, so this isn't coming from a "hater". I've watched every fucking episode. I also don't sweat you finding a way to monetize the nightmare that must be sifting through ALL Chris-related content ever. Patreon-cool. Monetized youtube-cool. Ad before content, sure, why not. Ad inside of content? Naw, dawg, not cool or helpful to the flow of your work. Completely breaks the dark tone.

Also, nearly everyone who figures out a way to monetize lolcow content ends up badly, as you should know by now if you read other areas of this site. It's like a fucking curse. Only a few, like maybe Keemstar, have avoided it, and I bet his day is coming, too. The more attention that monetization draws, the higher the fall. Word to the wise, buddy.

On the flipside, I liked the Better Call Saul reference in the intro. May get tired if you keep the joke going all the way to the end, but as a one-off, it worked for me! Mostly, I just really like the music and clips for the intro, so I wouldn't mess with it too much. My two cents...

Can't wait to see the Janke shows!

He's got about 550 patrons, a direct donation link in the video description, and affiliate links to the equipment he uses. I think he was already making money off of it. A good amount at that I'm willing to wager. It's all right to make money off YouTube, but I think the reason it feels wrong to people is because it's so late in the game, the way it was implemented, and honestly, the questionable necessity of it. It just comes off as greed to me.

The ad thing isn't as big of a deal that people make it out to be. There is one random tweet that gets read out before the ad, then there is like 40 mins or so of actual content. You could just skip through it and then watch the rest and it would be the same as a regular episode. It's not a big deal

Considering how Chris is able to find the most passive support a means to maliciously extort your flexibility, why would you even amuse the idea, especially at this point?

just fyi, trying to make money off something cwc related is cursed and you will experience unexpected tragedy.
Geno is already locked into tragedy. He cannot stop making Chris content now unless Chris dies. He will be forever known as the guy making the Chris-chan documentary. If he goes on to do other stuff in his life, more than likely people will not care. This is his life now, for better, or more likely, worse.

The average memetuber would have been tapping that vpn money since day one so i am not going to give him shit for it. Its been 70 parts and each one has like a million views, anyone would pimp that.

Its also very close to an hiatus, he might not be able to get any new content for whoever long while chris is in jail so might as well get as much as possible in anticipation.

People still watch this? How can anyone seriously sit through nearly a hour of someone constantly referring to Chris as a "she" without dying of a rapid onset brain tumor?
I'd agree with you if this documentary was set in the real world, but it takes place where Chris's mind meets reality. The majority of the doc is varying degrees of bullshit that you have to filter for yourself and talk about to other autists online.

The narrator being in on the female larp is jarring but so is the rest of the shit he says with a straight face. That's the point. Chris refers to himself as she and constantly refers to himself in the third person so here it fits having a narrator also playing along.

Calling Chris a she is unreality but so is the whole story. Trolls were always he/she by the character they played not the actual person.

the alt intro I really liked was one of the idea guys ones, where the theme song was pitched off key with a little added reverb. The glitch stuff is a little too hammed up for my tastes, but it is what it is.

And, of course, if Geno kept "misgendering" Chris, the videos would be struck down by YouTube. Can people really not figure this out?
