Chris-Chan: A Comprehensive History

I think when Chris is in his content cocoon locked up in his room playing with legos for the winter, it's a good idea to tidy up his past messes by putting out nicely arranged videos. No skin off my nose. If they're interesting, I'll watch them. It's just that I am interested in Chris... not someone's personal commentary or grandstanding. That gets boring fast.

Considering everything left to be covered, 20 videos doesn't sound unreasonable depending how much detail he wants to put into each topic.

Blanca/trolls stealing the medallion, leaking his photos
Sonichu/Miyamoto troll
The online mumble/IRC chats
Clyde Cash
PandaHalo
Julie/trip to Ohio
Ivy
House tour & its fallout
Liquid Chris & Kacey
CWCipedia & the mailbag
Asperchu
Wallflower/Surfshack Tito
Michael Snyder incidents
Jackie/sex videos
Calling Out videos
Tomgirl transition/Tomgirls of Virginia forum/Unclit/Hypnosis
Brassieres for Men
Bob's death
New cats/dogs
House fire
Catherine
Sonic Boom protests/Gamestop incident
Etsy/Patreon/Lulu comic and figurine sales, Ebay sales, paid video content
Online begging/Barb's financial issues

I'm sure I'm leaving out a ton of stuff too.

I don't think he needs to show every video made by Chris, that's the stuff I skip most in this series because I've seen them before and some are too cringe for me.

45 minutes of "brassieres for men"? I think the chapters are going to overlap more than these divisions. I also think that one whole chapter could be about parody videos and the response of his "audience".

No, I didn't intend to mean 45 minutes of Brassieres for males specifically, was just listing notable things that will be mentioned in some way. Certainly some of them could be their own 45 minute video but they will definitely overlap as it's going chronologically. I agree about the parody videos. I also forgot to mention the Sonichu comic which seems to get a pretty decent amount of time per episode already. I sort of wish it didn't but I understand why it's included.

I think it’s important that he keeps referring to the comics over the course of the documentary because they serve as a snapshot of Chris’s mind at that particular time. Aside from the wish fulfillment inherent to the title as a whole, each book shows what Chris was into (anime, Transformers, MLP, etc.) when it was made, along with highlighting RL events and showcasing his girlfriend du jour.

It’s the closest thing we’ll get to asking Chris “Why did you do that?”

Just watched parts 4 and 5, quality is still really consistantly good. I like it a lot. I watched the Q&A too. I think you guys are a little too hard on him here. Of course he's not going to be a perfect bubbly sperging social butterfly on camera, he's not Pewdiepie, he's making a fucking multi-hour documentary on Chris Chan. I'm surprised he looks/acts as normal as he does honestly. I will say though, the comment about going til Chris's death was a bit much, but I kind of see what he means. He's already gone into pinpoint detail on everything in his life so far and wants to finish the job. When he says that too, I think he's assuming Chris isn't going to live more than 5-10 more years due to his living situation, which is a bit optomistic but fair. Then he pops out a video or two summarizing his last few years and bam, its complete. I hope he doesn't mean he plans on doing this for 50 more years at least.

More like 2 hours of FruityLoops tutorials. For real it's no better than what I put out after spending a day learning FruityLoops with no musical skill what-so-ever. Still better than using stock music.

I don't really give a shit if he made it by bashing his head on the keyboard with Garage Band open, I think it sounds cool.

I'm a big fan of these documentaries, but the last two have had some big issues. I know the guy lurks here, so I hope he hears this, because I want to keep watching them. But you don't need to go into this level of detail over everything. And you especially don't need to show what Chris does/says after you just summarize it. It's a documentary, not an audio/visual reproduction of the wiki, the Sonichu comics don't need to have their full stories explained, and every funny line Chris says doesn't need to be shown and repeated, or read outloud. Some quicker summaries will help, and less videos of Chris himself repeating what you already said. Please keep Chris's video appearances to just the highlights, instead of every little part. We don't need documented proof that what you said is true. Also, the idea of doing it purely based on the timeline is impacting the narrative, you can focus on one storyline then say "a little while before (event), trolls also did (event)". This would help the documentary flow better. Otherwise, please keep making these.

That was probably the scariest part of the new video.
I thought, I could smell Chris through my phone.

I felt so unclean and violated during this part. Legit shook. I've never been able to handle Chris' vids very well so watching many of them for more than a few seconds has been a first for me during the documentary. Is that some crusty shit in the corner of his mouth or just potato camera?
