I heard about this on the radio yesterday and it shocked me considering I thought out of everyone Cornell was one of the more well adjusted ones after that whole scene. So is Pearl Jam the last guard of grunge or is Alice in Chains still scraping by with their new front man?
It seems like the smaller the band was in the scene, the better adjusted they ended up, which makes sense. It's not just the bands either; Jack Endino, who produced Bleach and a bunch of other big early grunge albums, is still busy as fuck with production work.The Melvins will be making music until Dale Crover keels over behind his kit, Mudhoney's still going strong, and Tad Doyle occasionally resurrects his old band when he isn't playing with Brothers of the Sonic Cloth.
