Chris court appearance

cornell law claims that "[the Court] must find that the absence of that fairness ("as applied to a criminal trial, denial of due process is the failure to observe that fundamental fairness essential to the very concept of justice)" fatally infected the trial". i cannot, as much as i loathe and disapprove of chris' actions, believe that he can fairly represent himself in any court under any charges given his absolute inability to comprehend or experience reality.
like I said, DONT TALK TO THE POLICE! EVER!

if Chris’d kept his mouth shut he could be in such a good place right now, it’d be a nightmare to prove the leaks are real if chris was wisely shutting the fuck up. But I guarantee Chris already confirmed it was him speaking and completely fucked himself.
With all that said, lmao nigga ain’t no way he didn’t bring this on himself and he’s fully capable of shutting up if he wanted to. It’s just the funny coincidence that Chris’ retardation lines up with general retardation, and I guarantee he tried and failed to talk his way out same as anyone else

Like if Chris went to lease a 800$/mo car, yeah it might be shitty and he got ripped off, but guess what, it’s all on the books and inside the law

I'm thinking, what happens to Chris' property that was left at the motel during the arrest? There's also a parked car (which I'm aware is Barb's property, it had its license plates stolen). Obviously there's nobody to take care of it right now and it wasn't expected much that he'd be denied bail.

"If you receive Social Security, your benefits will be suspended if you're convicted of a criminal offense and sent to jail or prison for more than 30 continuous days. ... If you're receiving SSI, your payments are suspended while you're in prison. Your payments can be reinstated in the month you're released."
And you should have read the other part too.
Benefits come in multiple forms, including Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI), Supplemental Security Income (SSI), and auxiliary or dependent benefits, which can be paid through SSI or SSDI. A jail or prison sentence for a criminal offense that exceeds 30 days affects each type of benefit differently.

With SSI, you will not receive payments during your prison sentence of 30-days or longer. However, your benefits can be reinstated in the same month in which you are released from jail, as long as your sentence wasn’t 12-months or longer.
So between 30 days and a year, they're temporarily suspended. Only after a year are they permanently gone, requiring that you reapply.
I don’t know shit about the law, but I’m under the impression the prosecutors usually get a plea deal by threatening to go forward with a felony charge. Then they offer a nice and easy misdemeanor with a reduced sentence if the person is willing to play ball.
That's almost certainly going to happen. The current charge is just a placeholder, but even it is serious and (on paper) can give you up to ten years. It's probably subject to a sentencing grid though based on past criminal history (which is mostly minor but pretty extensive).

But they're also probably going to throw in, if I had to make a guess, a rape charge and some kind of elder abuse charge. They've already said in a press release that other charges are on the way.

  • Electronic media coverage of criminal proceedings in federal courts has been expressly prohibited under Federal Rule of Criminal Procedure 53 since the criminal rules were adopted in 1946. Rule 53 states: "[e]xcept as otherwise provided by a statute or these rules, the court must not permit the taking of photographs in the courtroom during judicial proceedings or the broadcasting of judicial proceedings from the courtroom."
Does this only apply to federal courts specifically or is it applicable to all lower courts as well?

And I don't think Chris has anyone left to help him with bail or bond or whatever. His uncle and aunt withdrew their invitation for him to stay at their house once they found out once he'd done, Cole isn't going to dirty his hands, Null won't create a fundraiser for him.... I can't think of a single person on Earth who'd offer to help him, even to put money for the canteen on his account, except maybe a wild trans rights group. He's well & truly burnt his bridges.
The closest I can even remotely see is Ralph to "own" Null and even then that's a he'll of a stretch

Did you watch the video? Varg pointed out that, while Norwegian prisons are safer, they're also more isolating and alienating.

Also, Varg Vikernes is definitely a lolcow in his own right and well worth looking into if you enjoy reading about human trainwrecks like Chris.
All I gathered was that he didn't speak the language, in which case, yeah it's probably gonna be fuckn alienating. Thanks for the heads up though, I'm always happy to learn about a new cow.

A very accurate scene of what the lawyer is currently doing right about now.

The car will eventually get impounded at the owner's expense, I'd imagine. His stuff at the motel has probably already been thrown out honestly

State and federal are entirely different. A 20-sec Google search indicates cameras are allowed in VA state courts under certain circumstances. The public can't film in any court that I'm aware of anywhere though.

Welp, his public defender is going to be the recipient of many JUUUULAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY calls. RIP that dude's phone.

The sperging at the trial shows 'ol Chris has degenerated. If you read the OG trial reports (yes, I followed his sorry ass for over a decade) he kept quiet. That he somehow thinks he will get his toys and shit is hilarious. That's not how it works., mother fucker. I do find it amazing, like other posters, that all he gives a shit about are his toys. Mother? Nope! Just the plastic shit he bought with his welfare money. One thing Null was absolutely right on forever and forever was never to buy from the asshole.

This whole saga, and that IS the right name for it, is going to be awesomely horrific and hilarious. I bet $5 American dollars he barely even mentions his mother and just sperges about merges, Sonichu and other stupid shit.

Did he have anything important with him? He visited the mall at some point, so the assumption has been that he bought toys like Transformers and Lego but I think there's a possibility he bought women's clothing.
