Any time Chris goes to get him on video, it's telling how much disdain he has for Chris. Like the Christmas video where Chris is trying, and failing, to give him either a Fraggle Rock DVD or BD, and clearly wants to keep the BD for himself. Bob clearly doesn't want either and almost can't be bothered to give a response until prompted by Barb. Likewise when Chris barges into his office. I get the feeling Bob just wanted to be left alone after realizing that none of his sons were worth a damn.

Has Chris ever hinted at suicide before? I'm just wondering if that's even something he'd consider. Right now, that's really the best case scenario for everyone involved including him. If he strangles himself to death with a bed sheet in his jail cell, then he doesn't have to go on trial or go to prison, his mother can live out her days without fear of rape, and we get to see his fat disgusting bloated corpse dangling from the side of his bed if we're lucky and get pics. After trolls impersonated his galpals and admitted that they were hanging out with him just because Bob paid them (which turned out to be true by the way), Chris posted on Facebook that he pointed his Megatron gun at himself and pulled the trigger, but it was rather symbolical "I wanna die" then the actual planning of the suicide.

I agree. Parents played a role, but Chris needs to take responsibility for his own action as an adult and he should have done it long before now. I've been a bit under the weather this weekend, so I've fallen down a Chris Chan rabbit hole on YouTube. So many people tried to help him, to point out to him why what he was doing/did was wrong, how to correct it and he didn't. Barb and Bob never really told him anything was his fault, that it was someone else's fault, that is was an overreaction, it was a misunderstanding, etc. And Chris just went with that narrative, no matter who else tried to explain it to him that that was not the case, that his actions caused whatever consequences happened (Megan ditching him, being banned from the GamePlace, being expelled from PVCC, etc). He's lived in his own little bubble/world for so long that he can't really see reality any more. He twist everything to meet his own version of events and paint himself as the victim. He's always the victim, he never owns up to anything he's done. And I suspect his lawyer will have a very hard time getting him to admit responsibility in any way for anything, if that's even part of his strategy.

However, just because you don't believe/acknowledge something is wrong doesn't make it right. Chris is going to find that out the hard way, I believe, whether he's sent to prison, an institution or simply being kept away from his mother. For him, having all his precious toys chucked into a dumpster in the front lawn and not being able to do anything about it will be torture.

Given the "Of Mice and Men" referenced in the post I quoted, now all I can think of his "Look at the legos, Chris...."

The only plausible defense like that I could imagine is that (assuming there's no physical evidence) he could claim to have made it all up, which for all we know, could be true. Of course, Chris himself hasn't recanted any of his statements in public or private. But again, we don't have all the information that the prosecution has about Barbara's evaluation. If there's physical evidence of him having sex with her, then it's Joever for him.

Here's my question: Is him saying that he raped his mother, even in somewhat graphic detail, enough to actually convict him? Without any DNA or signs of physical trauma or whatever?
