Once more, all of this crap of his is just a big blown-up way of saying "I'm shy, I shouldn't have to work at it".

Everyone had to, or still has to. I don't think there's a person alive that just naturally has a healthy level of confidence without having to work at it a little bit first.

But Chris follows Homer Simpson's maxim in every part of his life: "If something is hard to do, it's not worth doing."

I'm pretty sure it'll eventually get to the point where he's under house arrest 24/7.
he might as well be, it's not like there's any point of him even being in the outside world except to go to mcdonald's

makes me wonder if mcdonald's would start a delivery service :?

Pretty sure some do or did in Manhattan. Imagine that for Chris. Then again the McDonalds employee would just be another TROLL with Poisoned Food.

Of course eye contact is hard, Chris. But you and I have a major advantage: myopia. Look them in the eye above your glasses. It's like making eye contact and not knowing you're even doing it. Works wonders!
I purposely blur my vision a bit when I look at people so I don't have to struggle with eye contact. I'll probably ruin my vision, but my husband likes girls with glasses, so it's all good.

This.

Also, I don't think he's talking about some recent event, but most likely reminiscing his past, and how not being able to make creepy eye contact ruined things for him. He's got nobody to make eye contact nowadays (except Barb).

I read somewhere that Autistics will often try to "force" eye contact on people because they misunderstand what good eye contact is and believe they have to gaze deeply into someone eyes.

Problems with eye contact can be a sign of autism, but therapists generally don't train people with autism to force eye contact for a variety of reasons. Chris-Chan mentions eye contact frequently enough that I think it's safe to say it's one of his identity markers albeit a minor one. For instance he's admitted before he has problems with it...
I have not only Helped cultivate the First Generation of Autistic People, but I have gone beyond the Autistic Dreams academically, communicatively and socially. Still, I have trouble maintaining Eye-Contact, my mentality is sometimes slow yet quick at other times.

...withholds it when he's BLANGRY! (though I really think that's just an excuse Chris uses for being chickenshit)...

And another argument was had between the four of us, in which I NEVER gave any of those JERKS Eye-Contact, because none of them deserved it!.

...and considers it an essential part of The Love Quest...

Q: What would you say is the most romantic thing you have ever done with or to a woman?

A: Sensual, emotionally-linked eye-contact.

So, yeah, Chris mentions it often enough that I suspect the issue been addressed at some length in the past. It would be interesting to find out the when and who of that.

"Sensual, emotionally-linked eye contact."
.... I can't stop laughing when I try to imagine that. His lovequest promotional images come to mind every time.

In Chris' defense, there's a thing to be said about autism and eye contact. Isn't it a commonly accepted thing that having autism makes maintaining eye contact harder or something? I don't remember the details, but I think I read something about it.

Having said that, it's something to work on for him if nothing else, and Chris being Chris instead appears to be blaming the world for it instead...

Well that explains the creepy eye stares during the Ivy videos.

Yeah, but on the other hand, if Chris could graduate college, he can put a little work into this.

Who would he practice eye contact with though?

Barb? Lucy or Kitty? The McD's cashier? Practicing in the mirror with himself would be great. I wish he'd record something like that, but any new contact from CWC is good contact. (I suppose lol)
