We can probably extrapolate that her face hiding, her disinterest in Chris, and her escorting him in public means she's being paid for her efforts. Her (correct) paranoia that her identity will be exposed means she also knows being around Chris is toxic and will end badly.

It wasn’t a con Chris was likely to show up at, because it would’ve been quite a drive. But we had a plan because 1/4 of the staff are Christorians.

After all the reports from Too Many Games, we had a plan for him.
