Lovequest Chris Thinks Trolls Are Hacking His Text Messages

I don't know, it's like he thinks if he denies it hard enough, Renee will magically become real.
It's certainly not the first time he tries to fool reality into accepting his fantasy as truth. When he lost the Chop Chop Onion Master's Rap Showdown, he made a fake PSN page where he claimed Adam Stackhouse had been disqualified and then commented on the actual PSN page about his confusion who the winner actually is.
I wonder if maybe Chris is just in denial - in his clogged and overworked heart, he knows Renee is a fake, but he's leapt on the incredibly unlikely possibility that Thetan's posts are a double-bluff because it's somehow easier than confronting the truth.
Chris is a master of doublethink.
Former sweethearts switch from being trolls to being genuine sweethearts and back, whichever is more convenient.

I'm kind of surprised he hasn't blamed the Greene County school board for this. Or does he still subscribe to that particular delusion anymore?

I'm not sure he ever did, fully. Most of his conspiracy theories basically boil down to "There is an Enemy, this Enemy is super-powerful and if it were not for this Enemy, I would be successful and popular and up to my neck in china." The Enemy doesn't have to make sense, because they only exist as a negative force - the only qualification they really need is to be there when something bad happens. For instance, Megan was there when the trolling started and she wouldn't be his sweetheart, therefore she was responsible for starting the trolling. In the case of the Greene County Conspiracy, he couldn't blame the trolls for the fact that he had no friends in real life, and accepting that the problem lay with him was not an option, so he fell back on some irrelevant conspiracy theory that was probably a mangled version of something Borb came up with. Trolls, however, are usually the perfect enemy - they can be blamed for almost anything.

Or when after he lost he made the Parappatherapingdog profile on myspace to console himself on losing the contest.

Yeah, basically, if Barb needed Chris to get a job to support their household, Chris would get a job. He might fuck up a couple of times, but eventually he'd get one.

If things are really bad and he absolutely can't keep a job, something serious would happen. The question would be: would Barb hold Chris accountable or would she hold Chris' boss accountable?

Barb would get into a big fight and possibly get arrested if Chris can't get a job. It would just depend on if she holds Chris responsible or if she holds the boss responsible.

(Though personally, I don't think it'll come to that. I think that with enough pressure, Chris could maintain a fast food job. He just has zero reason to get a job right now.)

Christory has shown that she holds the bosses responsible, not Chris.

I think one reason is that it's easier to intimidate other people than to teach Chris how to act right.

Well, I think if she was desperate enough to make Chris get a job, she'd be more realistic about what she needs to correct to get rent money. Who does she really need to scream at to make sure she gets the rent money?

Of course, she'd be more realistic, not realistic in an absolute sense. There definitely might be situations where Chris would convince Barb that the boss was being a big meanie doody head who fired him because he's autistic. Heh, actually, in that situation, I wonder if Barb would change her mind about the tomgirlism and cry discrimination when Chris gets fired.

I know this has been said ad nauseam, but just how many times will Chris fall for the same ploy?
As the great Dubya said "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me, you can't get fooled again".
There is no known upper limit to the number of times Chris will fall for the same ploy. His brain can be supplied with blood or his duck can, but never both at the same time.

EDIT: Is that A-logging? Sorry. Chris is a Casanova of our times, an expert seducer and all-round Renaissance man. His decisions in the field of romance are an example to us all. He has never, ever been fooled by a troll posing as a potential romantic partner.

If she had a shot at winning a large settlement, I think that Barb would say just about anything.

I can't decide if its just this convenience, or he is just plain :stupid: and believes Catie is a real sweetheart from the ground up.

I think he believes she's real, but because he wants to believe she is. Even given :stupid:, he's read all the evidence on here to back up the fact that the whole thing was fake. He must at least have doubts.
