Yup. There's no way Chris's ego would ever allow him to try an insanity plea, even if that was a clearly viable option. He might hint at disabilities in passing in order to shut someone up immediately, but he gets genuinely angry when people make honest suggestions that he might have an intellectual impairment, etc. I think that's why the word "naive" pisses him off so much. When someone calls him naive he implicitly associates it with his social impairments resulting from autism, so they are effectively calling him "disabled." That is also why I don't believe Chris is trying to present as insane with his Christ shit, he's just coping for his own sake and this is his characteristically bonkers way of doing that.

If that were the case, it goes to show how Bob and Barb utterly failed Chris by not keeping up with it. All those years at PVCC and the subsequent CADD degree was a waste. In the end, mainstreaming Chris caused a huge burden/curse that affected the Chandlers to this day.

It's what you get if you take an autistic but potentially reasonably high function autistic child, and instead of getting them the needed specialized care and structure, you instead insist on simply "mainstreaming" them, indulging his every whim and fantasy, setting no rational boundaries, and then simply letting them run feral for years with the internet plugged directly into their brain. Does anyone remember a few years back, when Microsoft introduced a new high level AI to the internet to test how it responded to people on social media? TBH I wouldn't be shocked if we found out he didn't just have one thing but he had a mix of a few things that was either misdiagnosed as Autism or hidden by it.

From what we know of Chris until he entered collage He was a sort of normal run of the mill sperg with childish interests due to a stunted intellect, and it only really started going off the rails when he was in his early to mid 30's after a major life change so that could signify it's deeper onset.

Hell the more I think about it and my speculation above that there is a reason he was never able to see the Autism papers is because he was Diagnosed with something other than Autisim or when Bob and Barb did some looking up on the subject they found out that Autism used to be known as a form of Childhood Schizophrenia, and the name was changed to Autism to help Children avoid the stigma of the association with people who have a more serious problem and Borb took it and ran with it but they knew the diagnosis was for a genuine schizophrenic disorder and hoped for the best.

I think the root problem with Chris is parental overindulgence allowed a relatively workable problem to fester. It wasn't seemingly as bad when Bob was alive, because put some few limits on the stupidity. Without Bob there was no restraint on the stupid and crazy shit. Barb maximized the overindulgence until it turned around and quite literally fucked her.

Chris knew, at the very least, that what he was doing could get him in trouble with the law. I do think he's delusional enough to think this was a consensual, healthy, relationship. But he still knew society would collectively vomit in its mouth the moment it found out.

I've written this elsewhere, but I find it extremely hard to believe that Barb went along with this happily. Chris himself said he basically coerced her. And keep in mind Chris is a pretty big guy, never mind an insane one. And Barb has seen him at his worst. What we see of chris is when he has the mental wherewithal to turn on the camera and sit in front of it. We don't see him when he's actually off the wall, having a psychotic breakdown, banging his head against the wall, breaking shit...Barb was in the car with him when he ran down Michael Snyder, she sat in court with him when he pepper sprayed a gamestop employee, etc etc. Never mind the rest of his life. She's seen chris lose control in a way we haven't. The woman was probably fucking terrified of what turning down her retard son could mean for her physical safety.
