I know he has always liked Legos, but lately his affinity towards this little hobby has been seeming more apparent with his Facebook activity and Ebay purchases. Are serving as his surrogate for CWCville or what?

1) Legos are free-form, non-structured toys. They don't have any dang dirty rules to follow.
2) Chris likes immediate gratification and Legos don't require a lot of practice before you can go from simple to sophisticated designs.
3) They're pretty cheap to acquire. You can amass a shitlode of second-hand Legos for very little money, so they're easy on the :tugboat:
4) Legos have been something Chris has enjoyed since childhood, and maybe it takes him back to when life was simpler, or he thinks it shows how "young at heart" he is.
5) Barb has found something that will keep Chris quiet for hours and she doesn't have to worry about the law being called in or him making sex toys out of it (I hope).

I'm just concerned that Chris's Legos are covered with filth from the hoard and from :briefs: (including from the pets) :o

Didn't he made this 4 feet tall lego dildo once? lol j/k but yeah, unlike most adults that like legos because they build some great things, chris's view on legos is just like a child would view the legos, well, aside from the fact that chris is trying to use the legos to construct his life in which he's successful and can cast voodoo curses on the people that he doesn't like and then posts it on facebook to impress his highschool friends...

His Crayola markers may be lost in the hoard, too. And ART SUPPLIES ARE EXPENSIVE!

You'd think all those mismatched colours and blocks would drive his autistic mind fucking crazy. It's also amazing how little effort he puts towards things that supposedly mean a lot to him.

I have a feeling that everything in that house, including the chandlers, smells like cat pee and dog poop.

6) Legos obey him unquestioningly and never give him backtalk.
7) He stores his mana in them; so he can use them as a spell focus later.

That's alright. Their natural aroma of body odor, crapped briefs, mildew, rancid Hungryman Grease and unwashed clothes masks the cat pee/dog poo odors.

The less you think about it, the happier you'll be.

Legos help him escape into his imaginary world. Plus he thinks his dad's work with some plastic molding machine makes him partially responsible for the creation of Legos.

Personally I think the fact that it is something he can create and control plays a factor in his love of Lego. A little power trip when he can control nothing else in the world.

I'm sure this is overthinking though.

No, that's about right. Chris is a control freak with nothing (worthwhile) to control.

I think he just likes to play house and always has. Besides the Duck Tower, he generally builds houses and towns where he can pretend to be a family man and respected citizen.

It's probably the world building aspect of it and having control over his imaginary CWCville land with his electric hedgehog Pokémon and being the sole ruler of it all.
