Of course. If you want to go even further you could point out a catholic character from a work that isn't explicitly catholic.Does Kingdom of Heaven: Directors Cut count?
The way Judas went in Jesus of Nazareth really got to me. If he was a decent fellow all along that is the best depiction of him possible.Watched The Passion Of The Christ the other day. The crucifixion scene was the closest any media piece got me to tearing up.
I was also going to make a post here about Dresden Files. The knights of the cross are just plain cool and Michael is especially great. "My friend, I am not the carpenter who set the standard." Gets me everytime I read it.For example: The Dresden Files
I remember first watching The Passion Of The Christ with my grandmother when I was really young and being scarred shitless by all of the violence. It really does make you appreciate Jesus more by seeing him go through all those awful events yet still retain his love for humanity.Watched The Passion Of The Christ the other day. I remember watching it with my church youth group, and all of the girls and half of the boys were crying by the end of it. I had to leave the room during the scene where He's getting nailed to the cross because it was so upsetting to watch- though I'm also super squeamish, which definitely didn't help lmfao. A fantastic movie, but a hard watch for sure.Watched The Passion Of The Christ the other day. The crucifixion scene was the closest any media piece got me to tearing up.
It was the whipping scene for me. I felt sick watching it, so it delivered on the feelings. And the demons tormenting Judas was disturbing as well. I hope the sequel is just a good.I remember watching it with my church youth group, and all of the girls and half of the boys were crying by the end of it. Never saw it sadly. It probably would be interesting to check out. What are your opinions on The Left Behind series interpretation of the antichrist in Nicolae Carpathia? Despite being Catholic, I honestly could see the true and honest antichrist being pretty similar.
It's actually a book series, the movies are kind of shit and miss the point by comparison.Never saw it sadly. It probably would be interesting to check out.
