SS uniforms originated from Boston Police uniforms funny enough. But the Silver Legion was a more Western/Midwest movement and wanted to distinguish themselves from Hitler, thus they went for a more scout/cavalry inspired look.

It's funny because the 2nd Amendment protest turned out to be the polar opposite of Charlottesville. Then again there were tons of differences in both rallies. Cville was essentially a blueprint on both how not to hold a rally and how not to handle crowd control at a rally. But perhaps the biggest difference is that the Cville rally had no sense of optics with all the fringe far-right groups and costumed Nazis showing up alongside people who were actually protesting the statue removal (on top of a huge number of counter protesters), while this rally had the crowd blowing out infiltrators calling for direct action and a more diverse group. When shit went south at Cville thanks to a lot of factors, it looked that much worse for the protesters. Suddenly it was politically toxic to say that there were "fine people on both sides" even if it was true.

Even before the car crash money shot, the scenes from both protests were a good reason why optics matters. The gun protest had varying crowds with different reasons to be there, Cville had a gay tiki torch army on every news site. Cville's aftermath was accelerating removing problematic statues and crowds of fat troons tearing down random war statues, internet censorship intensifying, troons using it as a reasonable cause to dox anyone they see fit, and only one side being charged in the court of law. The gun protest might not have done much, but the news media was changing their tune throughout the day as it wasn't a trashfire they could milk for ratings, before going back to more 24/7 coverage of Trump's impeachment.

The organizers of the Cville protest are not only tainted for good, but the gun protest showed that it's possible to have a protest for a right wing cause without it turning into a dumpster fire. Cantwell's kind are going to be left far behind by even the far-right because it's clear that they have no idea how to run a group or what optics are.

He's complaining about the indictment not referring to 'Vic Mackey' as such, rather as 'VM'. He seems really mad that the victim didn't complain about Chris's various threats until he followed through on one of them (contacting CPS to threaten his family). Howe complains that Cantwell had been trying to sic the FBI on his right-wing enemies for ages without success, but claims that collaborating with the secret police is still a great tactic. He also tries to make some strange argument where he claims that Cantwell didn't use his customer database to dox his enemies, because apparently everyone that Cantwell hates must have been stupid enough to buy something from him or something.

If we were to look at people who went to Cville who ended up as cows afterwards either from the event or out of pure coincidence, the number would go up. Baked Alaska gained notability when he started acting like a spastic in Cville and ended up with the IRL streaming crowd of all people the next year as he kept finding new crowds to grift.
