Yeah, I previously assumed that he was the type that would experiment with drugs n all that as part of his libertarian mindset, going on occasional binges (especially if it could get a girl to stick around partying with him), but never descending into a full-bore dope-fiend or crackhead lifestyle. Judging by listening to just what he says during the first 15 minutes of that compilation, though, he's been an extreme addict for a long time now.
So far, from what I gather, cocaine used to be his drug of choice, and the needle was his paraphernalia/method of choice. He also would experiment with/occasionally try other hard drugs during this time, before he ever did meth.
He got clean and sober for awhile, but like a lot of other dumb dudes in sober circles, picked up an addiction to steroids while being "clean". It only takes a true genius of sobriety to think that still engaging in illicit transactions for illegal substances, and using those substances the same way they did their drug of choice, is a key component, and early priority, on one's road to recovery and sanity.
At some point in his drugwhore career, he was introduced to meth, and like any other intravenous addict in remission, he couldn't wait to practice acupuncture on himself with his newest love, which just happened to be the most insanely addictive, powerful and intense of drugs ever created by highschool dropouts. After too long, though, of his day-to-day human pincushion existence, he couldn't reliably hit a vein anywhere on himself anymore, and practicing the 'anything goes' libertarianism he so often preached, he now started sodomizing himself with it instead. I wonder if he inhaled poppers to make the experience easier and more pleasurable?

Anyhoo, damn, he's had to have been a full-blown, 'need it everyday just to function', meth addict for a long time to get to that point (Injecting himself repeatedly in his legs and feet, wtf. He's lucky he ain't at "OnlyUseMeBlade"-tier leg health). Being a longtime tweaker would easily explain his extreme anger, paranoia, petty vendetta-seeking, repeated self-sabotage and ecareer implosions, as well as his many other bizarre behaviors. It also makes me wonder if it led to him being a snitch long before Charlottesville and his "Crying Nazi" phase

As a functioning drug-user(belive it or not) I completely agree. 20% of people can't handle drugs *at all*, and its not the sort of "my wife died and i was an alcoholic for 4 months" type of addiction he has, its not the "i smoked weed everyday for 3 weeks then decided to quit and played WoW for a while", it is a total unwillingness to be sober *ever*, even just being a *little bit* sober for a comparably small stretch of time, even very small, is intolerable and, of course, since the monkey has money he just uses and uses and uses until his dependence is through, he's ruined his brain, he haven't slept for weeks and his life is a total shit-tier mess.

It is a textbook example of how one should absolutely not take drugs(not that one should at all); totally separated from any rational viable plan(like you would with other things in your diet like supplements or meds), with the impulsive use the dependence will inevitably come, no healthy non-drug activity, has to take other drugs like viagra to cope with the bad effects of the first drug, no healthy social life.

Cantwell's fellow libertarian Jared Howe is coming up with delusional conspiracy theories about how the FBI is organising harassment of him. This makes more sense to him than the idea that people may have stopped making fun of him because his gay meth-addict buddy who "[only calls people to] join the GOP, quit drugs, and start a family" is in jail and so it's less fun to troll him.

Cantwell's fellow libertarian, Ian 'Freeman' (Ian Bernard), didn't just show up to give Cantwell a ride home, he published an article which is worth a read on his blog. For those unaware of Bernard, here's a video where he discusses his belief that six year olds can consent to sex, justified by the fact that he sucked off a older boy at 10 years old in exchange for video games and he feels that he turned out just fine.
Cantwell had previously defended Bernard when the libertarians in the Free State Project who support different forms of abhorrent behaviour like transexuals exposing themselves to children kicked him out for being fine with adults engaging in sexual relations with six year olds, suggesting that one was as bad as the other. Bernard's house would later be raided as part of an investigation into child pornography.

Cantwell is accused of sending the following message to someone over Telegram: “So if you don’t want me to come and fuck your wife in front of your kids, then you should make yourself scarce Give me Vic, it’s your only out.”
The feds are arguing that this is a rape threat. Beyond the fact that Cantwell didn’t say he would rape the woman, a little background and context is important to know.

According to testimony at the detention hearing in federal court in Concord NH, the as-yet unrevealed “victim” in this case never complained to the feds about the message, but he did post it publicly online where a federal agent on the West Coast spotted it... A Manchester police officer who works closely with the FBI testified that the “Bowl Patrol” was targeting Cantwell’s podcast phone lines with awful calls and allegedly hacked Cantwell’s website. That led Cantwell to attempt to discover their identities and to the chat where he threatened to have sex with the man’s wife if he didn’t give up the identity of the “Bowl Patrol” leader, “Vic”.

Now, a reasonable observer might conclude that "[fucking] your wife in front of your kids" very strongly implies rape, as normal people wouldn't consider having sex with someone in front of their kids to be part of a non-forceable seduction. Perhaps Bernard would consider this to be sex education, rather than rape? Truly, an insight into the libertarian mind.

Also, interesting to see Jared Howe completely blown out of the water. The only person dumb enough to be talking to the secret police was his moron buddy, Cantwell.

Shame. I mean, he definitely deserves some kind of comeuppance for all the shit he’s done, but I started reading his website purely for entertainment a while ago. It’s some of the most unhinged, deranged shit online and it’s a fascinating (but horrifying) insight into the thought processes of one of the biggest loons on the net.

Nowadays it’s just an unending stream of Jared Howe, who’s fucking boring by comparison. I’d say #FreeCantwell just to get that repulsive neckbeard ousted so we can have more Chris content.

Any guy who speaks up for male power over women and champions acceptance of older guys with young women has some things galileo2333 likes.
