I'd gather most people who die of it are listed as dying from whatever actual real serious health problem they caused themselves, possibly without ever even being recognized as a munchie.

yes bc if they were recognized as a munchie they would be on a psychiatric hold and not actively harming themselves. plus look at how crap doctors are at recognizing it - look at Gypsie Blanchard the one pediatric specialist who raised questions and said this does not add up was laughed at and ridiculed by a bunch of other pediatric specialist. (even though it was by proxy)

Something really does not add up. that feeding tube should have been pulled a long time ago. she has been looking far from skinny for a long damn time now. I heard she was getting some steroids but I just can't see her taking something she knew was making her look pudgy. she was purging out the g tube and I am pretty sure they knew it so they pulled it. all they ate was junk food. well surprise , surprise she got chubby. why does a chubby person need a feeding tube ? a feeding tube that killed her. I hope her specialist clearly charted she was advised to have said tube removed and she declined.

Here's the dramatic fallout from when a doctor did pull her g-tube because of endless complications. Her next two or three weeks were all about muh nausea muh gastroparesis until she got medical marijuana and also the munchies and could no longer deny she was eating food and gaining weight.

And here she is in March proving she super super still needed her tube and there was absolutely no chance she should get rid of it even though she was eating normally and had gained weight.

Edit: from the hugbox, Jaq's friend who is also a total munchie posts this totally not-attention-seeking patreon post about how no one loves her. Worth noting that this friend was gunning for a major abdominal surgery to fix a condition she doctor shopped to be diagnosed with.

very strange that long time best friends Paul and Judd found two different girls that had never previously met with all these mysterious ailments. many of the same ailments in fact. kind of makes you think that something almost nefarious is going on.

So Jaq had an illness that would cause her to pass out and flop around on the floor in public places, but had a fully unencumbered DL. The only restrictions were on the honor system and her husband the cop saw nothing odd about that. I think he turned a blind to a lot if not outright aided and abetted. interesting how Michelle Carter can be convicted of a crime but Police Man Judd will never be investigated.

I had to start from the beginning of the thread when I saw she died so I could get the full experience. Now that I'm up to speed, all I have to say is good riddance tbh. She brought all of this on herself & I have absolutely zero sympathy for her or her family. They could have gotten her actual legit help, but they didn't. They enabled her to the very end. So fuck 'em.
Looks like everyone early on was right:

Ports suck. Your clothes get stuck on them. You can easily get infections if they're mishandled because they are a direct line to your motherfucking blood stream. I'm frankly shocked more of the port whore munchies don't wind up with sepsis from their ports.

People who need their ports will take care of them and do everything according to procedure. Munchies love ignoring sterile protocol, they want that sweet sweet sepsis.

I mean, sepsis is great if you want to actually die. Not sure if it won't get a few eyes rolling, though.

Not surprising that he's happy/relieved his wife died; I'm sure he loved her at one point, but any affection he'd had for her had evaporated a long time ago with the rise of her munchie bullshit. Fun fact about Jaq's seizures - they were never proven on EEG. The claim was that they would need to do so kind of invasive EEG to prove them.

Maybe some Dr Kiwis can answer this, but how is a EEG invasive? Don't they just stick some metal things to your head and body? "Worst" part is having to sleep with a bunch of cords connecting you to a machine, or getting the gluey bits out of your hair and the round spots all over your body when they're done. For a Munchie, that doesn't bring much attention but is personally annoying, so I guess I could see how they would label it "invasive", especially since it would be done unnecessarily.

I think she will get a G tube to purge through so she can be skinny like Jaq used to be before they yanked hers. she claimed that the standard one could not dx her seizures and that in order to properly dx her seizures she needed one where the electrodes would go into her brain. I believe its in her episode on her epilepsy. she has had standard EEGs and they did not yield a dx of epilepsy.

well I recall the term psychogenic seizures being used but then that got obliterated from her content. similarly I know GI specialists that firmly believe that cyclic vomiting syndrome is a psych disorder. for some reason I think Jaq was dx'd with somatization but never told anyone. she was once doing a live and a question about anxiety was read aloud by Judd. and without missing a beat she said - I have no psychological disorder. first of all if you had all these serious chronic illnesses wouldn't it cause you emotional distress ? technically a typical persons distress would be so profound under those circumstances that their anxiety would constitute a mental disorder. second of all she talked extensively about having a disorder listed in the DSM - autism spectrum disorder. so she lies to herself bc no one who took three seconds to ponder her situation would find her claim of having no psychological condition plausible .

Jaq showed time and time again that while she wanted to be the most sickest one and blatantly stole other people's diagnoses after mining them for information, she also had no qualms sharing her diagnoses, permissive doctors, and "tools" with everyone. She gave her "retired" service dog Oakley to Jan, took her to the same concierge POTS expert (actually an internist), got her the port and was trying to get her into a custom wheelchair and on tube feeds as well. Other than the vestibular migraines, almost every diagnosis Jan allegedly had, Jaq had first and helped her obtain. When Jan tried to get her own special diagnoses apart from Jaq she failed pretty much every time. She managed to get a benign and super common treatable skin condition, and apparently MALS after over a year of getting every GI test she could possibly get to no avail.

What was going on is this severely mentally ill woman convinced doctors to butcher her over the course of three years, and she died as a direct result of an ill-advised surgery she demanded that three surgeons refused to do, and because of her refusal to remove the accessory that surgery gave her even though she hadn't needed it in months.

So in all honesty... probably this. She was constantly going into hospitals to get the good stuff pushed through her veins.

To top it off, getting useless and pointless surgeries and tubes put in leads you to have a life of general discomfort. So she honestly probably didn't know. OR she was like "hmmm this is an unfamiliar pain... yay!" And any unexplained discomfort probably didn't worry her simply because she was in love with the idea of having complications with her "needed" tools.
