So people who are faking chronic illness are so much more influential than those who are ACTUALLY ill that the latter have to use the time they could spend recovering to try and "prove" that they're actually sick, even though people with legitimate medical experience can spot fakers from a mile away?
That's... really depressing.

You've hit the nail on the head! This is a huge thing honest disabled people are dealing with right now. My friend has had CP since birth and runs a blog. Someone recently asked her for proof. Are you fucking kidding me? Look at her is the proof. They told her if she talked about her illness and made more illness posts she'd be more popular

She met her husband at a church retreat when he was 16 and she was 14 -- and they were married before they hit 21? That's sorta crazy in and of itself. I haven't really noticed her talking much about religion but for those that have watched her closely what does she seem to think about God, and a God that would give her all these "problems" at that?

From this article it seems her family is pretty loaded: https://www.katefarms.com/stories/3-lessons-from-jaquie-beckwith/

I'd love to see a "Forensic profile" of these spoonies I'd hazard a guess most are upper middle class girls/women that were raised by overbearing parents convinced their child was "special" and this syndrome is perhaps a way to act that out -- once the "is going to Harvard" path is ruled out.

Lolcow refugee here! For someone with soooper severe neuropathy, weakness and issues with dexterity in her fingers she sure ties her shoes surprisingly easily

Me too, I taught myself how to do it just for this gif. Enjoy!

She's probably only waddling in them like that (And note before she walked perfectly fine in them!) because shes had lots of comments from people questioning her, stating that her sudden ability to walk after getting AFOs is suspicious.

I fail to understand how getting a pair of AFOs can magically cure her supposedly complex issues surrounding walking.

Also, for someone who spends alot of time filming herself, and apparently has a lot of falls, isn't it amazing that none of these falls have been caught on camera? You can bet if she did capture one she would put it in the vlog, but there's not even a video of her looking like she's recovering from a fall!

Right? I want her to be filming during a face plant. That’s the only way I will believe.

Do you think she took the bait so we can get a fake falling gif????

When she walks with her AFOs and Harlow her feet are at a normal distance apart. When she walks with just her AFOs her feet are a ridiculous distance apart and she barely bends her knees. What is going on???

She’s made a couple comments about how this is God’s plan for a reason and that it could be so much worse. She’ll also make comments about how grateful she is that something isn’t worse and that she’s just so happy with things.

As I’ve mentioned, I think this is how she tricks and pulls people in. “Someone who is just so bad can be so grateful! Makes our problems seem small.” Is probably what a lot of her fans think.

I've been watching the vlog in bits and pieces today but towards the end Judd is prepping a steak. He uses bare hands to rub season on the steak, then reaches directly for the olive oil, goes back to the steak and then back to the olive oil. Their meat handling safety is horrible. No wonder there is so much puking in that house.

I also noticed that AJ (Adjustable Jaquie for those of you who are not lolcow farm refugees) made a comment about how she could tolerate steak before her gastroparesis - it sounded like she was going to say got diagnosed but then changed it to "got so bad" Always adjusting, our Jaquie.

As I said before, a doctor is not going to see you one time and say “you have foot drop”. They’ll send you to a specialist and then that specialist will do their own tests. It doesn’t happen in a couple hours. So the people noticing stuff in the comments aren’t wrong. And she will never address them because she doesn’t know what to say. She doesn’t know the proper response.

I will say though at least this lolcow takes proper care of her dog. Seems to be fed well and played with.
