This shit is the best cider I can find nearby.

I started off drinking macro ciders like strongbow. Now I like stuff like micro cideries, prob not available in North America.
One if the pubs here was selling mulled cider. It was a decent treat.

Dunno if you live in the NY area but if you do Brooklyn Cider house is excellent. Their Kinda-dry is just the right balance between tart and sweet when you're looking for something flavorful and crushable.

They also make a sour Basque style cider that's super tart and funky if you're curious about trying something a bit more challenging.

I'm drinking Perry Miloslawski right now, I've had pear cider before but I didn't know that "perry" was a specific term to refer to delicious alcoholic pear goodness. (Apparently whether perry and pear cider are interchangable terms depends on who you ask)
It's very nice and mild, it reminds me a lot of Martinelli's cider without being quite so sweet. Martinelli's also makes a hard cider, but it's been a while since I had it so I don't know how well I can compare these two. This has a more sour finish which I enjoy.

I really like these French ciders that come in a champagne bottle such as this

La Brique Brut I'm drinking right now. Anything by Ecusson is also good.

None of that sugar water taste or artificial flavors, just dry apple goodness. Excellent for a hot summer day. And I must admit I enjoy the ceremoniality of opening a real cork that pops.

Thanks for bumping this thread. While I'm trying different types of beer, it's a mixed bag to me. But I will always love ciders.

My favorite breweries are Austin Eastciders and Ace Cider Co. The latter has a good dry cider, and some amazing fruit ciders (including my favorite, pear). They taste just like, well, fruit. Easy to drink like soda. I used to drink angry orchard but it's just...okay compared to other stuff I've tried since. I'd like to try the original strongbow but I heard you can't get certain kinds of it in the states?

I bought a cider in a bottle awhile back. I can't remember the name (not that one for sure), but it was...terrible. It had an odd chemical taste or something. It was cheap, so that's probably why.

I drink austin cider the way normies drink bud light. It's weirdly cheap at my local grocery store compared to everywhere else I've seen it sold, and it's decent. It doesn't wow me as much as some of the nicer ciders I've had, but it's drinkable and tastes good for what it is, plus it isn't overly sweet like most inexpensive American ciders. Angry orchard tastes like pure diabetes to me.

I suggest using French ciders to make "kir normand" where you mix them with a splash of creme de cassis (blackcurrant liqueur. also get a decent french-made brand, the cheap stuff is gross)
