to this day I still don't understand GamerGate.
I just know there was a lot of shit flinging and bad blisters from Twitter fingers.
I take pride in not knowing a single goddamn thing about GG like I take pride in not having seen a single Star Wars film.
I don't know anything about GG either. I'm proud of it.

The modern internet is almost nothing but circlejerks and echo chambers these days, people don't intermingle like they used to do in the web of old.
It sucks, I actually wish I could communicate with SJWs more without threat of getting banned or them simply refusing to communicate or falling back on vicious ad hominem attacks when they run out of actual talking points.
That last one is what really kills it, it's always "manbaby, virgin, incel, basement dweller" with those assholes when they know they're wrong when you happen to find yourself in a position to actually engage with them.
Life is too short to put up with that shit.
The environment argument is a meme. They always try to group it in with other communist bullshit which is where they lose me and everyone else.
I legitimately believe that if there isn't significant progress made in the next 20 years, within 100 years significant parts of the planet will just not support human life.
It's already happening. There's a lot of places on Earth where the only reason we can live there is due to advances in technology. Places like rural Australia and the Arabian Peninsula are starting to become hard to live in even with our technology. Yes we will always technically be able to live everywhere in small groups, but you can kiss any settlements of note in the Arabian Desert or the Australian Outback goodbye. There is zero science supporting that statement. There is some science stating that the poles will hear in the next century (90% of expected warming not 2 degrees everywhere).
To be clear, you believe this guy

I really haven't done too much research this, but don't we only have around 200-300 years of precise climate data? Even before that, there were long periods of abnormal climate like the Medieval Warm Period. I'm not entirely convinced what's going on right now isn't part of some natural climate cycle we don't know about. It's already happening. Next it'll be the American Midwest, and with that goes most of the food. The only reason the Midwest is livable is because of the Ogallala Aquifer, which is somewhere between 60-70 years from depletion at the current rates. Climate change bringing less rain and more intense heat means greater depletion rates.
We're at or above the Roman Warm Period in terms of global temperature. We know this because Romans kept meticulous details on crops, and during the Roman Warm Period they were able to plant and keep date trees in Greece. Well we can do that today.I really haven't done too much research this, but don't we only have around 200-300 years of precise climate data?
