If I had to guess, it's probably because 90s FPS games were a big staple among middle-aged men, aka the dominant chunk of the modern tranny population. Doubly so if it was a PC title. They have arrested development in their media choices and choose to replicate experiences from a time frame where there was still a possibility of a glimmer of hope for their future.

Same reason they infest speed-running and many open source projects. Unemployed, on benefits and autistic.
They have very open schedules, so they invest their time in to frivolous endeavors and niche interest groups.
Boomer shooters are niche.

This doesn't mean I fucking like it. Every town center should still have gallows for these degenerates. The world would be a better place.

You just have to throw the blinders up and ignore any of the background behind the wads. I've only encountered one wad I ever played that made me go, a troon was 100% behind this weren't they. The rest of the time it's the occasional thread when trying to find info about a map and finding out the mapper has some name like XxSkarlett_LillithxX that makes you do a thousand yard stare.

This video is still the most fun one could have with Postal 4, honestly.

This was super fun. I never played postal 4 and I know he got a VC... I don't care it was campy (spoiler) I liked he kept killing himself.

Postal 4 looks playable now. He had issues seem mostly from his Heston difficulty. I might try the game one day soon. But lots of bad humor just to break Political correct, crappy AI so you can gun down dozens etc...

mindless fun. Like Postal 2 wanted to be memes and violence.

I think it's the pattern of autistic problem solving. If he wants a bashful beautiful little thing to like him, can't do it/doesn't wanna bother with it, then he'll skip the middlewoman and make himself into one. Find a polycule of similar creatures, boom, problem solved.

And autists like boomer shooters because they're made out of such straightforward problems. No dialogues, no long-term planning.

Would make a joke about how easily moddable these games are so they could add in people they don't like to blast away at, but that's a low blow as is.

Good vid, but christ on a stick that slobbering over Monolith. Like, dont get me wrong I loved the games they made, but theres no excuse for waisting 8 years on Wonder Woman and blowing the entire budget, only to waltz into WB office an go "Ye, we didnt like what we made. We wanna restart the project, so give us more money, kay?" That is the shit we made fun of John Romero for, but now suddenly we need to suck off devs for pulling such shit?

Yahtzee also blamed muh crapitalism for WW and Monolith's demise. Makes me not care as much that Monolith is dead when this is how stupid their fans were.

Fast forward to less than halfway through the video and half a dozen "Monolith is great for X" comments.
Me: "I WAS A FOOL!"

Still good video so far. Civvie is a very hit or miss guy for me over the last year.
