To the best of my knowledge metal bars are standard almost everywhere in Israel. Apartment buildings have them up to their 3rd or 4th floor.

They have triangulating seismic microphones all over the place and a special 'tunnel collapsing' unit that bores holes then drops explosives down them.
What's really weird? Three or four years ago when I first started seeing articles about this there were photos of a modified D9 dozer and rig that was used for this purpose.
Now they're almost impossible to find. Isn't that strange...

I and a sizeable number of the rest of this forum have spent the last couple days staring out at Gaza from livestreams.

How did all of those buildings get there? Are you telling me that at no point in the last 60 years of continuous low-intensity conflict did anyone think to set aside money from their high-rise apartment fund to build a bomb shelter?

If that is your contention, the Palestinian people are not in any way mentally equipped to run a Chuck E. Cheese let alone an entire country on their own.

They should run out into the streets RIGHT NOW and BEG the next Israeli they see to enslave them rather than spend ANOTHER MINUTE in the care of their mongoloid government.

IDK, a few hours ago, it was very hate-filled and mud-slinging forum BS (which WAS funny, but probably disturbing to some). Now that the news has slowed, people (often newer to the thread) are getting more introspective. Personally, there's no reason to get upset -- this is news after all and we want to see what's going on (good and bad). It's miles better than MSM right now (still, you should read both to get the best picture IMO). Many of our users want to extrapolate this to other sociopolitical events it seems.
