Christianity ruled until the WW's left them battered and scarred (both sides of both wars were Christian) IF the jews took over, they did so from 1950~ to 2020. Now i believe the Muslims are either in charge, or are trying very hard to replace the Jews IF they're in charge.

IF i had to pick a side, it would be to side with the Jews. Can we please just skip to the part where Israel drops all context, declares total war on Palestine, and gives the global community the cataclysm we've all been expecting out of that region for the last 70+ years?

All of this posturing under the notion of self-defence is the most insulting thing about this whole debacle.

Even when Israel wins this then what's next? Israel's Palestinian population is 5,2M vs 8,7M Israelis. People from both camps will just become more and more radical after this. Israel may be able to destroy Hamas' military capabilities and kill their high ranking member but they can't just kill the idea of a free Palestine.
This conflict will just rage on and on forever.

The entire thread is leftists saying that not only is Palestine a place with a thriving "LGTBT+" community, but they are more tolerant and supportive of gays than the Israelis are, and that "studies show" (they never posted them) that Muslims are much more tolerant and supportive of gays than Christians are.

No matter what this is going to end badly. Been saying this since I became even a little aware of political events. I mostly supports Israel on this but the problem is that it’s not sustainable. Just like Taiwan, there’s too much stacked against it.

A friend of mine tried to say South Korea can sustain itself and they’re doing fine. Not the best comparison though. Nobody, not even the Chinese Communist Party takes North Korea seriously, they exist literally to be a buffer state for China. Israel and Taiwan existing are an affront to the Islamic World, and the Legitimacy of the Chinese Communist Party respectively. While I think it’s possible Taiwan can hold out and eventually some big revolt could topple the Chinese Communist Party, even if Israel destroys Palestine, that doesn’t mean much in the wake of other Islamic countries in the region, especially now that Turkey and Saudi Arabia have all but said they intend to establish a new Caliphate. Israel can only hold out for so long and if they really wanted to survive they’d do more to get the Shiites on their side. But they’ve antagonized them too. Without US and British support they are fucked and that support has been waning.

Again I don’t see this ending well for anyone.
