That might be true, but perception over reality. Typically whenever Americans see Israelis on TV, they have very light skin. When they see Palestinians, they see brown skin.

And also I agree that it's cancer, but race is the all consuming issue in America right now and that's not looking like it's going to change for multiple generations ahead.

I'd also like to point out that Americans in general equate Islam with a race. It makes no sense, but that's the zeitgeist.

It may not be a race thing, but what to you think about the cultural thing?

While I recognise there are Arab Jews who live much as their ancestors did, Israel is far more western in outlook and in how they approach things than any other middle Eastern power, even those like the Emirates with European majority populations.
