I have a feeling that either slight shifts in the earth's orbit, the sun and the magnetic field disruptions may have something to do with creating and thawing ice ages on earth though I am not completely sure. I am convinced the no matter how much carbon dioxide is released into the air, the sun and other aspects have the upper hand on shifting the earth's climate. But I am also aware methane may be a much me extreme greenhouse gas.

Like was mentioned before, more desertification and local ecological collapses are almost certain if we don't change course. Yes "new species will evolve", but humanity is just working with more and more potent mechanisms as time goes on. We have no idea what kind of damage we can do, and there are a couple of "minor" things on the Earth that we are FUCKED in the long term if we ruin.
