Feedback Close the Tooter Subforum?

It gets fewer posts per day than a lot of active threads, and hasn't had a large amount of activity for a while - curious why it wasn't collapsed into a thread like Wu?

Given that the ILJ subforum nearly has as many posts as Tooter's subforum (c. 36k vs 41k at the time of writing), it'll only be a matter of tme until the former overtakes the latter. If it's not yet time to sunset the Tooter subforum, then it probably will be by the time the ILJ sub overtakes the Tooter sub (I give it about 6 weeks).

But is that going to be enough for a subforum? That's the entire deal with Pamela Swain in the Beauty Parlour and she doesn't have a subforum

I don't keep up with any of the lolcow specific subforums but I know about Ralph, Yaniv, DSP etc out of osmosis from other threads and even the news. So it makes sense that they have their own section. No clue who this Tommy guy even is though . Never seemed like a big deal.

Since I'm talking about this, I think that lolcow specific subforums should only have a handful of threads, each about specific subjects. Having a million different threads makes it very difficult to follow events chronologically. I was keeping up with ILJ for example but immediately lost track the moment the subforum was made because all of a sudden it's now split in a hundred different threads.

I supported closing the Wu board.

The Wu board had had no new threads since January.

Granted, yeah the Tooter board is relatively low-traffic, but the people who post there are using it like a board instead of just posting in the General.

When Tom has new antics, people still bother to make new threads. I vote keeping his board.

He'll be back. Tom does things cyclically. Another reason why closing his board will kill fun.

That's actually happened a few times. The last few times he was online, he was posting on A&N, and to my knowledge, they weren't very good posts either.
 
I'm assuming Tom is out and selling his crappy jewelry in Cali and hasn't had the time to seethe and cope in his sub forum. I was initially for removing the sub-forum but I think it's worth keeping if only to make it easy for people to see why Tom is a mix of a horrorcow/lolcow now that the MATI archive channel got nuked and the tooter episode with it. It was one of my favorite MATI episodes if only because I got to see Null have a minor breakdown over staring at the Tommy Burger LOL.

As much as I would love to agree that the subforum should get spergatoried at the minimum, I also believe that will be the one moment where Tom will do something so incredibly stupid that it will make the move a regrettable one.

I also suggest keep because there's still an audience that follows him.
