CNN shills for Mexico, trying to make it look more appealing than the US - CNN is now Mexican Propaganda

CNN talks to delusional, old, rich former Americans who say Mexico is better than the US because there's no Trump, the healthcare doesn't "have all that paper work" that's there to protect your rights when something goes wrong, how it's a haven for hipster artists, and that it's totally safe, until you piss off the wrong person.

So the country that was recently listed as the second most violent country on Earth:

Is supposedly a paradise with totally affordable healthcare, security, and nice people. :story:

I can't wait until CNN says Afghanistan is a progressive peaceful Muslim Utopia.

If it encourages all of the "progressives" to leave the US, then it's win-win, no?

If I recall correctly, with the exception of Vicente Fox, haven't most elections been rigged for a single party for the past fifty years. If that is the case, this essentially means Mexico was (is?) a banana republic.

Mexico could be considered a one-party state for a majority of the 20th century. The PRI (Institutional Revolutionary Party, aka the centrist party) held onto power for around 70 years from 1929-2000. While there were other parties in play during this time, they really couldn't make any headway against the PRI.

They also killed a bunch of students prior to the Olympic Games in 1968, who were protesting about the lack of democracy in Mexico.

I figured as much. Notice how many illegal mexicans are so boastful of their country, yet can't name a single political accomplishment? Well, you do a little digging and you see that the country is essentially a one-party military junta where money determines how much of a "citizen" you are.

Is this a trick by Trump?
"Oh sure, Mexico is great now. Just great. You should all totally go back there guys. It's gonna be huge!"

But yeah, just about any town near the boarder is a disgusting mess. Crumbling buildings, ramshackle huts, the bare minimum of sanitation... most towns don't have water or electricity services, and have to have their water pulled from a well powered by a generator... if you're rich enough to afford either. I don't blame them for wanting to move to better pastures, but they bring too much baggage with them. We can't be importing that much poverty. It would overload every system we have.

It's even worse than that. We keep bringing in that many low-skilled migrants, we're going to essentially build a lower caste that has no hope of social mobility. Think "A Brave New World"'s Alpha-Beta-Delta system. Does anyone really want a system that resembles that any scope?

"Rigged" is such a harsh term...but in seriousness, yes, that's about what it is.

When you have a single party with all of the clout, the election is more of a formality than anything else.

I had a family member who lived down there for, I'm not sure, 40 years? Maybe 50. Around that anyway. Their family moved down there when their dad took a job back in the 60's, and they married and stayed down there. They moved back to the States a few years ago because Mexico City was becoming too dangerous for them to live there as they got older.

I assume these people live in one of the resort areas being protected by the army.

Comparatively, if you really think about it, Mexico is more dangerous than North Korea. With Korea, as long as you stick to the rules and don't wander off to autistically steal posters, you'll be fine. In Mexico, your only guarantee to safety is being European and having millions of dollars.
I think I'd rather visit N. Korea and watch children sing like pre-programed robots than visit the world's chili ring.

Mexico is a failed narco state although for the sake of luzl I hope at least a few idiot hipsters take CNN's advice and try to gentrify a Mexican slum.

I'd love to see what happens when a group of rabid SJWs who decide it's a good idea to lecture some Zetas on toxic masculinity and how they're problematic.
