and now they attack entire organizations and making them crazy.

Most recent, and what spurned this thread, is CNN losing their shit over a wrestling meme, then threatening to dox a rando if he didn't apologize

Their whole staff is going insane on air, look at Sally Kohn losing her shit over a meme

The kid is 15 and it was a dumb internet meme. It doesn't matter tbh. A major news organization shouldn't threaten to ruin his life. Shit even KF doesn't dox minors usually.
Unless it's an autistic 8 year old who really deserved it

I'm pretty interested to see how this pans out.
I hate cnn. The 24-hour news cycle was a horrible mistake.

They will just say he is a race traitor uncle Tom.

I say the kid is Mexican

Is any of this verifiable? Because this all sounds like the same hearsay I see other people condemn all the time.

Anyways for anyone who feels that CNN is not in the wrong here needs to ask themselves how they would feel if this was Breitbart threatening to expose the identity of someone who posts anti-Trump comments in left-wing subs.

This is wrong, completely regardless of what side of the political spectrum you are on. This is petty, disgusting behavior from CNN and nobody should defend it.

But at the same time let's not moralfag and pretend that doxing is all of a sudden not something we do on a daily basis.

Actually I think we're allowed to moralfag about it because we can't make threads on minors.

That's the point. We are kiwifarms we dox niggers on the regular. But we are an obsure internet site. We are known for being dicks. CNN just sunk to our level.

Has this been verified though? Because a rando on twitter and 4chan isn't exactly a good source.

CNN should be condemned on the principle of their actions, not because of their victim.

I am highly, highly skeptical that he's 15. As a minor, he would be protected from his name being released, not to mention CNN would have to contact his parents to even speak to him. I see this all over the place and supposedly 4chan doxed him, but once again, The Internet proves that it's ready to believe absolutely anything as long as someone can read it somewhere in some comment.

CNN could've left it at "we've decided not to release their name" or not investigate something so stupid and miniscule, but now they have to deal with the outrage.

So something like pol spreading false stories already

What a bunch of pussies. Either dox him or don't. They're afraid that if they did, the address of every single CNN employ will be released the next day. They're hypocrites that can't handle being held to the same standards.

When someone says that all the information he will "expose" was public to begin with, what is it? It seems pointless to expose something that is public. That is the only thing that they say to claim that this isn't Doxxing and it is investigative journalism. If the account was deleted I think by that point anything in there is private information, thus doxxing by those people's definition.

Even while this is true, he admitted to the CNN/Buzzfeed "journalist" that he did not want his name published because he was scared for his personal safety. And his family's safety.

And then they admit they can publish his name whenever they want, even if he thinks it'll put him in danger. They don't care.

His name would have been published if he didn't do the bullshit phone "interview" that CNN selectively edits and refuses to release a recording of. Imaging being called by some Buzzfeed hack, saying he's going to publish your name on CNN for posting anti-Semitic memes on reddit and a CNN wrestling gif. How the fuck would you respond? You would apologize and beg not to be put on CNN news as an anti-Semitic Trump supporter who wants to commit violence against the media.

You would have the fucking Bikelock Professor in your backyard next week.

Of course he apologized when a Buzzfeed "reporter" called his personal fucking phone number asking about reddit posts he made. How would any of you react if you got a phone call out of nowhere from CNN asking about your Kiwifarms forum posts, calling you an anti-Semite who advocates violence against journalists, and that they're going to publish your name on their article, and if you want to respond, do it on this phone call where CNN can selectively publish your words as they want and no one knows what we actually discussed.

This sort of stuff can be scary to normies, and TBH it's pretty disconcerting the first time it happens to anyone, regardless of their situation. My life is pretty bulletproof, but even my stomach flipflopped the first time I was casually scrolling/pol/ and saw my face in a doxxing/character assassination thread. Now I'm honestly a little jealous of him, as I've got a few projects starting up and I could use that sort of publicity.
