Cognitive Biases Related To Trolling

Is there a name or euphemism for the cognitive bias wherein someone who is being trolled puts an irrational or over exaggerated level of perceptual importance on the act, wherein they falsely believe it will somehow ruin their lives in some catastrophic fashion, when in reality it's more often than not largely benign and overlooked by the greater whole of society?

Likewise, it's often their own over exaggerated reactions to the trolling that inadvertently cause them the most harm and damage in the real world.

Does that concept/bias have a name or clever "law" attached to it? I went through Wikipedia's lists but couldn't really find anything of direct relation other than maybe the Streisand Effect.

I've always seen that as more of a positive perceptual bias though, in that the person thinks they're important and deserving of attention. A better name might be like unwarranted self-victimization or USV.

Basically common patterns of behavior among crazies and people who are trolled, like Trolling Induced Transsexuality Syndrome or TITS.

Sort of related to like the "Laws/Rules of the Internet".

I was thinking about trying to compile and create a more academic level primer/guide/book on the psychology and sociology of trolling and the culture around it, on all sides. The stuff that's been put out so far has been, well...

Looked him up just now, that guy seems more politically/financially motivated. What I had in mind was more of an "authorless" or anonymous type publication for free.
