Any ARMA III mods that let you go around a sandbox and do mercenary things and earn credits for more squadmates/gear/vehicles/etc?
 
I've been playing Arma Reforger for the past few months and I hate console players so goddamn much its unreal. In Arma 3 I didn't like it too much because I was just getting the shit kicked out of me, and I'm glad Reforger is a bit more arcadey, especially the modded servers but the constant yapping by actual niggers on PS5 and XBOX over platoon radio over shit nobody cares about, and them completely fucking up crew positions in armored attack vehicles resulting in us getting killed and allowing enemy armor to assrape our team makes me rage.

Its just a video game but Jesus fucking Christ, its so easy to shit on the enemy team if you know what you're doing. I one-manned a KDV Typhoon (modded vehicle) and just shoved it in a bush on the side of a road and took out a tank, 5 jeeps, 4 logi trucks and 3 helicopters before some dude snuck up on me with an RPG because I got too complacent and didn't move after each kill.

I need to get somebody to play Arma with :c

Well I am tempted to try if it's more arcade like. But I am a filthy console peasant and I don't know if mods work on that.
 
squad's ue5 update went live. it looks good, it sounds great guns and explosion. it currently plays like shit. servers are suffering varying amounts of lag, with constant rubber banding, mass texture popups, teleporting players/vehicles and rallies and habs not showing up.

had fun shooting an rpg at a lav in plain sight and hitting a wall that popped into existence instead. or riding a logi on a flat road that flips for no reason. also smokes disappearing. hope they fix it soon because its unplayable.

e: the at reload bug hasnt been fixed either

Another Unreal casualty it seems.
It's a shame because me n my frens routinely put off playing that game because it always has some major issue or another.
I don't think they can recover from Unreal slop.

Anyone been playing Flashpoint Campaigns: Cold War?

I'm a fan of Matrix, mostly because of Shadow Empire, but I've never played any of the old Flashpoint Campaign games. But I'm pretty sure the series is iterative and everything they've had up to now, is also in Cold War? I might be mistaken.

I was thinking that for Mius Front, but to be honest, I don't like the way it handles the MG42. They need to completely rework to the HMG Teams to actually be better than the infantry embedded gunners with bipods. Also they both display the same weird indicator that looks like flak tracer or something. It's such a strange choice for a game where everything is so realistic.
 
Have been plying some Arma Reforger with friends and damn, it's a 9/10 game with a 2/10 community. All console players are mouth breathing retards that don't even bother removing the barricade blocking the entry to the main base. Played on an English, Russian and German speaking servers and the Russians, of all people, were the only ones who at least communicated a bit. The Germs technically also talked a lot, but most of it was a guy ragebaiting the other Germs, who always fell for it because Germs are insufferable.
The only option would be to join a discord but I'd rather cut my balls off.
 
In quite possibly the dumbest, greediest most unbelievable move I have ever seen, Bohemia Interactive has added an option to SUBSCRIBE to ARMA 3 with the ARMA 3 Pass.


For $8.99 per month, you get the base game and all DLCs. You do not own the game (but you will be happy).
