I'll save you time. Simple Zach after complaining about 'the culture war' made a culture war video. Note, he starts off shilling his book. I wonder why? Could it be tying it to the very culture war he's admitted he's too much of a pussy to fight?
The video has to do with Heidi McDonald attacking DC for rehiring conservative Bill Willingham.
This should be expected from the simple one. He makes sure to take this opportunity to describe this as exactly what happened to Ethan Van Sciver. He points out that every pro that is Conservative or Republican, he omits Christian, is a target! The ugliness of Richard Meyer has come to light over the last six months. He's not the 'people's champ', he doesn't give a fuck about the customers unless they're mindless consoomers, no he's in this for himself to see his dream made a reality.
I think the board speculation that Richard would work for Marvel in a heart beat if they offered is spot fucking on.

- CuckGrift is filled with more weirdos than Marvel

The main point of Richard's video is that Heidi MacDonald and a bunch of nobodies are complaining after the fact (uselessly) about Willingham being brought back. And the basis of their complaint is that Willingham is too pro-Israeli. Heidi and friends can go try to shop that around, but I doubt they are not going to find any takers at DC or in the mainstream media. Even lhan Omar had to back down and clarify her comments politically in this area recently. The media will buy into BLM or anti-trans or anti-trump stuff. But they not going to stomp on anyone for being too pro Isreal. Condolences Heidi. You (probably) lose.
Richard's new strategy for the culture war seems to be bitching about useless and ineffective tweets by people nobody is going to listen to anyway......while simping for Nick Spencer and removing his videos about Mags/Mark Waid/Heather Antos & so on.
His change in language was subtle in the video. He draws a distinction now between "republicans" and "conservatives". He now talks in the Biden-esque language of "why can't we all be bipartisan". You can see those broken gears in his mind moving in the direction of political surrender as well as all his other surrenders. That rather than SJW-ism being a pervasive problem on the left, its a problem confined to a minority of the left out beyond the good ones like Nick Spencer and Mark Waid.
The amazing thing about that video is that Richard has removed himself as the lead victim from the story of comicsgate. He has now accepted his role of being a nobody in the story of comicsgate while all credit for victim-hood in CG is assigned to someone else. It seems Richard now accepts that what Antarctic and Waid did was fully justified....and that the true victim of the SJWs, our comicsgate Jesus up on the cross, was never Richard. Not just bitch anymore. But reaching for being cuck and bitch now. He doesn't even have self-respect anymore.
Richard (ala 1984) has finally learned to love big brother.

Well, the difference is those early videos he's removing had to do with the way Waid Antos etc were talking to costumers complaining about bad comics. This is about creators being allowed to say whatever they want. A complete 180.
That Libertarian triangulation. I noted he specifically omitted Christians and mostly ignored the Pro-Life grievance of Heidi.

Zack took up a fight he apparently thought would be easy. When his opposition didn't die/surrender immediately after his counterattack, he folded.Richard Sue Deconnick is prepping to quit due to his failure, so he's trying to spin this whole thing as not worth fighting for anyone. "I didn't fail, I did everything I could"
Exactly right. As I've said many times, Zack has already paid the price for fighting the fight. His name is trashed and they'll never leave him alone. He can delete his old videos all he wants but it won't make a bit of difference. The only thing I can see maybe getting him off the hook in the slightest way is if he publicly denounced both EVS and CG as a whole. He's already distanced himself from Comicsgate as a movement without actually denouncing it.
I'd like to think he's enough of a friend to Ethan to not throw him under the bus, but we've all seen that Zack will give up just about anything when it becomes too much of a hassle.
I believe Zack is doing what he's been doing because he has deep seated personality flaws that he's been able to hold in check for a while (or were easy to overlook from the outside) but are now beginning to dominate his decision making.
For one, he has a giant fucking ego. He comes across as kind of self effacing at first but he really fancies himself. This ties in to his stubborn unwillingness to listen to advice. His ideas are good and he can't understand why Rock n Roll Ninja isn't doing as well as Jawbreakers. It's only doing badly because the entire crowdfunding space is crashing, not because people have no interest in reading about Vietnam vets that like to rock out. People liked Jawbreakers, therefore all his ideas are viable so the problem clearly is with the market and not him. I think it absolutely annoys him that his other stuff isn't selling like Jawbreakers but he can't really bring himself to admit that maybe his shit just sucks.
Zack also has a distinct lack of focus and patience. He's very much into instant gratification and the path of least resistance. The man can't even get it together long enough to watch an entire movie because of his squirrel brain. He jumps from project to project, working on whatever comes into his head while leaving his other work unfulfilled and doesn't see it as a problem even when his extremely patient backers start getting vocal about it. Then the ego kicks back in and he just offers a refund instead of admitting he fucked up.
I don't think Zack abandoned his fights because he stopped caring, he just stopped because it wasn't easy anymore. He dropped his lawsuit because he thought it would be like an episode of Judge Judy and not a years long endeavor like most legal cases. Quitting is easier than fighting and since they didn't back down immediately there's no point in keeping on. His lack of foresight meant he didn't count on a good chunk of his backers walking away after he dropped the suit. I think he honestly believed that people were buying his stuff because he's an excellent writer with fantastic ideas and not because they wanted to see a raging middle aged autist stick it to dickheads like Waid.

Last night, Well Read User hosted a giant festival of bitch slapping and hair pulling appended to his channel's review of Nora's Saga. Testefy and most of his CG enemies (but not all his enemies) decided to meet around the flagpole on the playground after midnight to do something like a fight. Or as close to a fight as young kids on the playground ever do.

really fight it out and air all the dirty laundry in front of a public audience. Lunga seemed to have been convinced
that the secret to defeating testefy verbally was audio volume and repetition.
Testefy did his usual deflection based game, avoided discussion of particulars and resumed old feuds against
individuals over old stuff to change the subject long enough until everyone had exhausted themselves. Testefy
employed the old Nixon style defense that he (Testefy) was not a crook. Par for the course, there were a bunch of
unsupported accusations made over old stuff that doesn't matter anymore. Testefy tried to say that Vikki was a bad
person because of the great RibbitCoin debacle and because Preston was suing her. There where the usual you
strike channels accusations throw out in all directions. As in past debates, his opponents had a tough time pinning
him down on things. But he was certainly on his heels and on the defensive after his recent disaster here on the farms.
The other side responded back with the classic CG witch-hunter approach of declaring Testefy to be the new CG Satan.
As every modern US war is re-cast into a struggle against the new Hitler, CG struggles these days are all about
casting people into the role of the new Liam Grey. Vikki and Dean hinted at things which seemed to be intended
for the first episode of their new show on their new channel. As usual in these things, the Pedo bomb was dropped
eventually to (I guess) up the drama.
After watching it this morning, I really wondered after how much of it all was real. It was very controlled for a
fight. And the dropping of new channel trailers in the middle of what is supposedly a fight is always kind of
suspicious. Everyone seemed to be holding back content too. There was also a strange coordinated moment
toward the end where a whole bunch of people seemed to leave the stream at once. As if they were receiving
stage cues.
At the end, I couldn't tell if I was watching something real or if I was watching an off-broadway opening of a new
show about to go on the road. There seemed to be plenty of real heat between everyone, but it smelled like
very carefully coordinated heat.

The other problem with Rock N Roll Ninja is that it isn't really Richard's book. Its a Chuck Dixon book with Richard as publisher/idea man/story consultant. Being a publisher who does new work-for-hire books with new characters is always way more hit and miss than being a creator who does a continuing book with an existing audience like Jawbreakers.

Sure, but Richard's non-Jawbreakers stuff is either retarded or non-existent. Pandemic sucked, The Ballad of No sucked, Impossible Stars is nowhere to be found and 499 is...499. If Zack is the "idea guy" (even if the idea is his tried and true "military unit gets into crazy situation" thing) and doing all the promotion for it, it might as well be his book. He certainly was making enough excuses for it not doing as well as he'd hoped.

People often say that and I wonder is it really true? If I'm not mistaken campaign for Jawbreakers happened at the same time as his lawsuit with Waid started, no? So how many people backed it because they actually liked it and how many did it because it was part of the culture war and a way to stick it to the SJWs?
I mean sure, people liked it more than Pandemic and shit like that, but I'm not sure if there really is any value to Jawbreakers as a brand.

The 2018 Jawbreakers was actually the second Jawbreakers done. The first one in 2015 raised about $3,800 and had 58 backers (though I wonder if the backer number was higher)
He eventually failed to deliver that campaign, refunded and gave it all away for free.
The 2018 Jawbreakers happened at the same time as the problem with Mark Waid. It was also helped by Jon Malin doing the art. It made 405k on 10,600 backers (approx).
The second jawbreakers did 251k with 6,500 backers.
The third jawbreakers did 231k with 4,300 backers
His more recent books have been in 2000 backer or less range.
Jawbreakers did carry through a considerable audience from the first to the second book. And that was minus the press for sales from the lawsuit. But Richard has always been kind of behind the curve in monitizing his audience. His audience tends to be comics readers and that tends to drive his average revenue per backer way down compared to other people in CG.
But at this point, I think Richard's failure to fulfill on time combined with him exiting the lawsuit and re-casting himself as the friend of the SJWs is going to kill whatever value was in Jawbreakers. Richard's story decisions (killing off characters) also I think did real harm to it. At one time I think it had value. But not anymore. There are people who still believe there is value there and that with others taking over the publishing of the book & Richard doing more promotion that it can be turned around. But I think they are really fooling themselves.

This whole re-casting himself as friends to SJWs is a-logging.
Richard's chronic problem is that he grasps an idea but is too dumb to reach to a logical conclusion.
He started off as the angry guy who was called a racist for not liking America Chavez and was doing diatribes about what Marvel should do with its business, not as a culture warrior.
He was an angrier, less informed Perch back in 2017.
His culture war segways is what sticked, especially when the SJWs focused on that to undermind his criticisms.
But, like most full time youtubers, he is losing any connection to the real world and acting as a big cow. His ideas are getting dumber, his videos get repetative and his work is getting shoddier. I would love to know what is the background on the lawsuit, because I am certain we are losing a lot of important details about how and why we got to a settlement due to NDAs.
Since he was saying he did the vaccine because he plans to travel, there is a good chance he got into some money recently...
I believe that in his latest videos he is trying to say that we are in a chaotic situation where everybody is unhinged, as we witness the heat-death of the comicbook industry as we know it and also how people are getting tired of the constant outrage, but fails to get the words and thoughts in the proper order.
And also for people to stop a-logging at him.

Edit: One second thought, maybe his "I was in war video" was a way to talk about the lawsuit. That he dropped it because it served no purpose after cockblocking some SJWs and making Waid's career harder.
