1st WAVE CYBERFROG ACTION FIGURES have reached their final stretch goal, $550,000, and are continuing to sell. I'm adding all of the weapons, but I'm killing the possibility of VYZPZZ accessories at $600K or $800K. I can't keep sending these toys for requotes. We might reach that $600K eventually, but I've gotta finalize my production order.

Anyhow, very successful campaign, and we're making Frog toys!

My Expendables comic came in.
For some reason, the comic was bent in three places.
My Impossible Stars comic has a bend in it, too.
Either they are being mishandled in the mail or the fulfillment center is treating Meyer's comics like shit.

How long was that campaign active? It looks like he ended it as soon as it hit the $5k goal. Maybe it was just a quick sale to unload overstock?

About a week (it was allowed to run out completely). Without a doubt that's the purpose of the sale; he started doing these at the same time he was making videos complaining about his fulfillment company charging storage fees for unsold stock. Still, I can bring the Zack Friday campaign from last year for a direct comparison.

Why doesn’t he just let Frog handle the fulfillment? Rich is so thick headed.

I just got another Expendables comic in the mail. This time it was the Meyer variant I originally ordered (or at least labeled as such, I haven't taken it out of the wrap yet to check for sure)

Has there been any talk about this on Zack's channel or anything? I'm guessing it was just an oopsie for me (possibly because I ordered that Hardcover that got refunded?) but I'd laugh my ass off if it was a major fuck up from the distributor and tons of people got extras.

I'm not much of an action figures guy but the sculpt on Heather Swain's face, particularly the one where she's snarling, is among the best I've seen on a toy.

Frog isn't really promoting shit; so it balances out his limited contributions. Nassar engages at least but could do better to bring content.
I disagree. He makes little announcements here all the time. I can keep up with his Indiegogo campaigns simply by keeping track of his announcements here.
Case in point. No need to listen to an 8 hour snore stream or dig through his IGG profile to know that FROG is pushing figurines right now.

He's more than happy to keep us up to date by advertising in the CG thread.

I wonder how many actual sales translate from marketing directly to Kiwis. Perhaps he should include a traceable IGG link so he can keep track of the metrics.

Mine was in good condition, the story was ok. I like it. But I think it would have been better as a series. I think Meyers could and should have done better with this book. he probably shot him self in the foot with any future franchis because he fucked off and didn’t give it the attention he deserved.

Frog offered to fulfill Jawbreakers under the ALL CAPS label (shit like 499 or the Ballad of No he's on his own for), on the condition that he go on livestreams and interact with Comicsgate. Meyer said he'd be staying with the company that he's been in a payment dispute for over a year, fucks up customers' orders and that he makes probably now purged videos complaining about how they're taking him to the cleaners instead.

In any case, things do not appear to be all sweetness and lights in small scale Comicsgate:

Rob Arnold, creator of The Replicator comics series put out a video describing the three biggest problems in Comicsgate as he sees them:
  1. Lack of communication with backers. This one perplexes Rob, since it costs nothing to do and not keeping backers updated with the state of one's campaign, especially when it's late, tremendously damages backer confidence.
  2. Shipping. With COVID lockdowns increasing Australian shipping charging to upwards of $25 per parcel of what is already a $25 48-page comic, Australian CG creators like Rob, Michael Bancroft and Liam Gray are being priced out of the crowdfunded comic market, so long as they rely on individual parcel shipments to customers. This is a problem that's extending to Britain with its VAT taxes as well as Eastern European customers, with no easy solution in sight. Liam claimed to have found some secret way of getting around this, but for whatever reason Arnold and Bancroft did not feel comfortable with Liam taking a leadership role of CG Australia. Given that Rob blocked Liam a year and half ago after the orange one larped as Hitler that one time as "bad optics", it's safe to say that Rob Arnold's shipping problem will continue into the forseeable future.
  3. Lateness. It's no secret that many Comicsgate titles are late, Rob Arnold says. We all know the names of the culprits: Cecil, Ya Boi Zack, Rob Arnold, among others. "You think I like being late?" Rob asks. "But really", Rob says, "there's no reason why a campaign should take longer than a year to fulfill." Like other overdue creators, he vows to follow the trail blazed by Tim Lim and actually have the comic done before campaigning. We'll just have to wait and see.
With that, Rob closes the video by reminding his audience that his $50 32-page comic book that was due in June is available on Indiegogo. Back it today!

Elasi Affairs, Liam efapper, KF post reader and occasional Comicsgate critic, put out this video cautioning against the "dangers of contentment" in reaction to a Frog livestream, sensing that the chat is beginning to turn against him. What galled Elasi especially in this case was Frog explaining to his increasingly annoyed chat in recent days that "he has 48 pages drawn [of Rekt Planet] but hasn't figured out the ending yet", an explanation that even an 'aspiring writer' like Elasi found galling in that anyone would start committing a story to paper before even plotting it out first. However Elasi's criticism quickly drifts from Frog's linear approach towards the craft of writing to asking if emotional and material contentment has sapped him of his creative drive. If deprivation and angst were the motivator behind his works and if it is now gone. Also related are Elasi's personal struggles in this regard, trying to muster the will and motivation to write the novels he's always wanted to but never had the drive to see through, how he credits this to his own sense of apathy in life and that he sees these qualities paralleled in Frog. This probably wasn't meant to be as personal from Elasi as it came across as.

In news that is sure to please and affirm @Absurdity, Sketch Therapy uploaded this clip of the JACK show (Anna specifically) encouraging Sketch to make a channel about calling out Frog and Anna's channel chat jannies. Is he a monster? Was Anna serious or just humoring him? That's for God to decide, but Sketch argues that if he is a monster then he is a monster of Frog's making, as well as adding this beautiful, rousing speech in the description of the video.

I for one am intrigued by what Sketch has to say, and am curious about subscribing to his Substack. This text could be read any number of ways, but I'm glad to see that Sketch is taking the crowning of Nasser as a "Comicsgate King" well.

Last and possibly not least, Frog made a solo stream yesterday titled "Morning Stream! DARTH KATHLEEN KENNEDY MOCKS STAR WARS FANS!", presumably looking to draw from the well of Fandom Menace viewers. Remember that movement? In any case, after ten minutes of intro videos followed by ten minutes of interaction with the chat, the reading of a Bounding into Comics article about Kathleen Kennedy begins. Tragically, Frog himself can't muster enough interest in talking about Kathleen Kennedy for more than six minutes in and, after talking about Cyberfrog and Creepsters for twenty minutes he digresses to what he'd actually rather talk about: Fuck Erik Larsen. This may have something to do with the following tweet:

1635643099296.png

Citing a Bleeding Cool article that mentions Larsen, in a Facebook book group, pointing out a swipe from Akira that Todd MacFarlane did for an issue of Detective Comics early in his career, Frog goes on a tangent of the bitterness and pettiness of Erik Larsen to hold on to something like this for 40 years against a fellow co-founder of Image Comics. Is this because Larsen's peers like Todd McFarlane went on to form his own toy line and Jim Lee was appointed Publisher and CCO of DC Comics while Larsen is some weird loser drawing pornographic Savage Dragon comics involving human cum rockets for around ~3000 orders at $3 a month? "Maybe" suggests Frog. "Maybe..."

This is followed by another hour of discussing Cyberfrog: Bloodhoney Box, the Cyberfrog action figures, Creepsters, and the Deathfly Killer Frog exclusive figure. At around an hour forty in after reading a BoC article about how he was banned from Reddit and checking out a Cyberfrog trading card by Bill Willingham, Frog resumes a non-promotional topic for his show at 1 hour 47 minutes, sharing his enthusiasm about industry figures like Bill Willingham, Mike Baron and Gabe Eltaeb recently crossing the aisle into CG. The Daily Wire interview was a great success, and he plans on making more content along those lines with Comicsgate.org proprietor and DarkGift's keyboardist Robert Romano at an undisclosed date. Frog reiterates the core messages of this Kathleen Kennedy video: Back Cyberfrog Bloodhoney Box, Fuck Erik Larsen, and with that ends the livestream.

So I got my copy of THE EXPENDABLES GO TO HELL... and I kind of love it?

Look, I get to have Sly Stallone team up with Audie Murphy to shoot Hitler and Stalin in the face. Even as an admitted Expendables fanboy, it would be hard NOT to deliver something fun with that concept.

I actually wish it wasn't pretty much print on demand, this would have made a solid gift for some of my former squadmates.

Yeah, that's the baffling thing to me.

He got the rights for an Expendables comic... and didn't promote it anywhere among the Expendables fans or action movie nuts? No interviews, no promos, nothing.

Again, I know a dozen gusy who would love the crap out of this, who didn't even know it existed until I posted a pic of mine on my Facebook.

Basic marketing could have made this a home run instead of a base hit.

And of course, no digital comic either... so now the guys I know who WANT a copy can't get one.

That's everything wrong with the comicsgate model tbh. At some point the big guys should consider wider distribution of their more successful projects.

But if he sells digital comics, then you can't validate Richard's ego send Ya Boi Zack pics of his comics surrounded by other comics/various firearms/whatever else is in frame!
In all seriousness, I wish he wasn't so stubborn with sticking with that whole "physical only" thing.

Elasi's videos are getting better, but his constant deep sighs in between depressing thoughts brings his own personal ennui into three dimensions. Holy shit.

Shouldn't you work on rekt planet or it'll take another year?
Fucktard puts a video he ripped from YouTube on his Google Drive.

Fucktard then posts the Google Drive link on Kiwi Farms.

Same fucktard acts indignant when he gets a DMCA from the owner of the content.
