So, you have a spiritual match-up that should be not much of a match-up at all, with insincere chucklefucks on one side attempting to alienate and shun everyone who doesn't kiss their asses and clap like circus seals at their D-grade attempts at shockjockery "bro hangout" entertainment and, on the other, actual creators of various degrees of competence and social ability. If one thing isn't abundently clear, it's that these guys do not know how to relate to creative people at all. In the case of Gary and Az, I'm not sure they even like them. The shady shit mounts, yet the G-plus-G / FM crew think pretending that "owning it" by acknowledging it loudly and often to much forced laughter will somehow dispel the shady shit and ward off the consequences.
Someone should really stop accepting Jeremy Griggs' judgement and leadership as anything other than a self-evident absurdity. What's most tragic about all this is that most of these people - on whatever side or no side - do not disagree substantially on what matters (or should matter) at least in theory to their futures as professional culture commentators. Again, it's just festering egos and thin-skins at this point, though.
