I have mostly read comics and not really dabbled in manga. Since the start of 2022 though, I have been reading a lot more manga, and this is one of the main reasons why. I have mainly been reading the Shaman King omnibi which are 3 regular volumes, about 600 pages, in one. For $14 to $20 on Amazon and a disappointing shipping time of the next day instead of the more fun week shipping, I have about 600 pages that takes me about a work week if I read it at nights, or close to a full weekend day(with breaks throughout) of entertainment. I still read comics and plan on checking out Worlds Finest that
@Crescent Fresh mentioned. Im not going full "no more western comics, only manga", but I do see how people can get to that point. Also this is a very convent thing about manga.

This right here! An everyday normal parent doesnt know or give 2 shits about paying more for a comic because its a "prestige" format. Kids arent going to care either and are going to bend, rip, color in, pretty much destroy the comic anyways, so the cheaper the better. Also, Alterna's all ages titles seem like they are geared for that age group that likes Dogman, but since the art doesnt look like an autist drew it with crayola markers, older kids will like it as well. Parents will like it too because it doesnt have the modern day woke shit, like those DC graphic novels or the conservative shit like the
Tuttle Twins stuff.
