#Comicsgate - The Culture Wars Hit The Funny Books!

Can you set the shipping for domestic or international to be different based on the address of the backer on Kickstarter like you can on IGG, or is it one set shipping rate for all backers regardless of address? If the latter I defiantly see why he wouldn't ship it international and give him props for actually thinking about that(blind squirrel and all that). Honestly even if Kickstarter does charge a different international shipping rate, there is no telling how much the shipping rates will have increased by the time he is ready to ship. I think @FROG and others have experienced that problem in the past.
I can only speak on eBay and its been a while but I think you can enable International shipping and have it somewhat auto-calculate based on location. The shipping times and potential for an eBay return sealed it for me. Sucked too since you're disqualifying many potential bidders but it just wasn't worth the risk.

International shipping just isn't worth it any more, way too much risk. On eBay I can ship a medium flat-rate to Buffalo NY for $13.80 and it gets there in two (maybe three) days. Same package a few miles further north across the Canadian border costs almost $80 and takes 2+ months. For condition-sensitive items that's a no-go. A single return and you're out the shipping both ways and it'll be another couple months before you get the item back usually damaged.
See, I'm torn on this because in the beginning I was critical of Doug Tennapel over the whole foreign shipping thing. Then as I was doing my own shipping I realized how ridiculous the prices overseas are, and at times it feels like at best you are breaking even in costs.

My thing, though, has always been about long term benefit. My book gained quite a few fans in Canada, the UK, Germany, even in South Africa. To me i felt a sense of accomplishment that one story I created gained quite the following overseas. Part of my 5 year plan includes a live action movie, and I know international markets like Indonesia, Thailand, Tokyo, France, there's potential for cult B movies to make quite a profit. It all starts here where you forsake a profit for the sake of getting your property enough exposure to get loyal customers to shell out for merch.

I wouldn't tell anyone they HAVE to follow this model. This is just what I intend to do, and it includes me committing to eating some of the profits to get books out to customers around the globe.

I would set it up so that if a customer overseas wanted the book, he/she could email me and we would set something up that way. That is assuming if the book even gets funded In the first place.
Yea, it does have to get funded first. When If it doesnt fund on Kickstarter he could go to IGG and do a flexible goal target. He could do the email thing with his international backers since im sure the total backer number will be low and there will be very few international backers out of that, so he could reasonably do this. On larger backer campaigns, I could see this being a nightmare to keep up with. Also, you have to run the risk of someone trolling you into thinking they are gonna back and pay the shipping and then ghosting you.
I have too much on my plate bolstering my own delusions. Besides, I'd rather just laugh at retards side by side with you.
Then welcome to the farms!

It's really easy to get scammed with international too because the overseas scammers know it'll cost you more in return-shipping than the item is probably worth so odds are they'll get to keep it plus the refund. As a self-publisher doing crowdfunds with a customer base overseas I'd have to look for a counterparty there to handle local distribution and just have the product shipped there from the start. I think this was also Liam's idea once too.

Hut says he's going to go onto other peoples channels to promote his book, I think that'll be pretty entertaining.
He should totally go on JDA's show and get an endorsement from Vito. Like Hut, Vito also "thinks differently." Vito is a man of impeccable taste in... certain things... and it would probably do wonders for his campaign to have the backing of such a well respected member of the commu... LOL! Okay... okay... I'm sorry! I can't do it!

This might be the creepiest image of a cow that I've seen on KF.

I'll raise you:

He looks like a fat psychotic serial killer with down syndrome.

Is he TRYING to look like the Hamburglers retarded brother?
No, he is the Hamburgler's retarded brother.
And fatter.

Say what you want about the Hamburlger and his hamburger addiction, but he apparently has a pretty badass workout routine. Unlike Hutt.

Speaking of being retarded, this is 2 months old, but I thought it was pretty funny. It's from this video.

Imagine being so stupid, or so assmad at @FROG, that you think this is an intelligent clapback after a federal judge straight up dismisses EVS from a lawsuit in writing. If he reads the Farms, he should be able to read the legal documents posted the Poulter v. EVS thread.

You better watch out with that kind of talk, or you will be the next one accused of being a @VIkkiVerse simp. Not gonna lie, I did not expect this type of statement from you. I figured you and @Alazmat were here to help bolster JDA's delusions, but if this is a genuine honest statement, then welcome to the farms.
My good friend @Alazmat said it well. I'm here to laugh at retards side by side.
CG has a wealth of them; comics are a hellva drug.
The book appears to be pretty much done, he shows a stack of 60 pages. He's experimenting with his home printer to show off what it would look like coloured. I think I have to agree with Ethan.. it looks like shit.
This makes me want to back it. I am morbidly interested in owning a copy of Hut's printed at home serial killer coloring book.

This project of Hutt's is almost a must have, just not for the reasons he would like it to be. If he were serious about actually doing comic books, he should have just led with that and never become the Corky Thatcher of Sciverfrog a-logs. He seems to be trying to emulate some low tier 60's era artwork which isn't the worst I've ever seen but coupled with what might possibly be the single most unappealing concept combined with magic marker coloring, it's a McDonald's kids activity placemat... which actually is a fitting symbol of everything to come out of CG & CG adjacent so far.

If he is even one day late though, he should delete his channel.

Is the Hut really a 20 year grocery store manager? Holy fuck that gives me the creeps. Could you imagine his minimum wage employees finding out he dressed up as the hamburglar on youtube? I mean if he were something more than a cart pusher or cashier.

I think Hut's work is comparable to Narzack. Ya Boi is probably kicking himself that he didn't think of Pregnant Space Whales. I think Hut at least drew the hands a smidgeon better.

Somedays I wake up and feel like I could deliver a space whale baby and call it a day...

TBF, working at a grocery store isn't a bad gig. I can honestly see why he'd hang onto that job. Many of them are unionized up the ass. Even in red states like where I live. I imagine in New York, it's even worse.

I think the true victims are the customers that interact with his creepy mush mouth just so they can ask what aisle the ketchup is on. Then there's a markup on said ketchup, because the store has to pay somebody like Hut more than he's worth.
