I hope nobody here actually thinks Zack's effusive praise of Iconic Comics is sincere and based off some kind of misplaced friendship, and not him laying the groundwork before an anticipated partnership ala "Narzack". In case you guys haven't noticed after five years, if he has no use for you you may as well be invisible.
Meyer's motivation here is that his business continues to be held hostage by the incompetent and crooked "secret fulfillment agency based in New Jersey"
and the "per touch surcharges" that run up tens of thousands of dollars on all of his campaigns as no other publisher thinks the profit margin on comic book fulfillment is worth the proven mass walkouts and negative press campaigns that
will happen when someone is publicly shown to be taking on Comicsgate business, let alone that of Richard C. Meyer himself. Willing himself into becoming Brian Pulido with the power of wishful thinking didn't work, but he has a couple of options here - Frog is willing to bail him out with his own ALLCAPS publishing infrastructure in exchange for allowing Frog to harness the dubious value of the "Diversity and Comics" brand by going on his livestreams, or he could fulfill the comics himself with the help of a few mexicans. But both of these options would involve mild personal inconvenience or effort on his part, and that's just not going to happen. Hence overtures to Iconic Comics in the hopes of reversing his fortunes from the parasitized to the parasite. Ernst though doesn't seem to share Frog's estimation of Meyer's value, brand or otherwise, to put it
extremely mildly.
When it became apparent that Ernst did not find the privilege of serving Simple Zack appealing, Meyer
posted some pissy snipes in Ernst's direction on his community wall a couple of months ago, adopting some SJW rhetoric criticizing Ernst's sinking his own money into a campaign to make sure it's on time and of high quality "boring" and "defeating the purpose of crowdfunding", perhaps getting too accustomed to the one-sided nature of throwing stones at mainstream figures. Instead Ernst put his tard proxy Comic Book Hut aside and
revealed his true power level for a solid hour and a half of evicerating the Simple One beyond any and all sense of proportion. Looking at the dates Hut's e-mail inbox screencap, this coincided with some videos being sent Hut's way.
Two months since then, it seems Simple Zack has managed to repress the traumatic self-incurred past encounter with Dark Doug, given his present need to get someone to fulfill his comics for him on top of the people writing and drawing them.
