I don't know the whole story. I think he was living in a run down apartment in his later years. Tbh I don't know where people got the idea that Stan took the credit for the work of people like Kirby or Ditko, he never referred to himself as such or implied it. The problem looks to be more a mix of no one really liked to be in the spotlight like Stan did and Kirby had a thing of making bad deals despite his success. It's tragic but I suppose it teaches everyone how important people skills are.

Kirby died in Thousand Oaks which looks like one of those weird retirement towns you have in America, it must of cost a small chunk of change to live there. Plus the whole museum built for Kirby must of cost money to set-up.

D&C analyzes sales for Dec 2017.. Needless to say, sales are simply abysmal at this point.

Scooby-Doo selling better than Iceman is :story:.

America #10 ships less than 10,000. Again, :story:.

I think a lot of people see what Bob Kane did and extrapolate to include Stan Lee in it.

This is why I think Comicsgate is more interesting than GG. GG was removed from the video game industry at large, it had no bearing on releases or profits. Sure some indy developer might have got thrown under the bus but Triple A publishers weren't affected. Comicsgate meanwhile is taking place against the backdrop of comic sales tanking, so what we're seeing is comic pros defending a sinking ship that will lose them their job in the name of sticking it to the evil MRAs criticising their Blue Haired Monster-Approved(TM) characters. Their narcissism is going to cost them and they don't realise it at all.

HAHA.

So are they bleeding enough for the Mouse to do the scorched earth? Why has that not been done yet?
Because that'd mean Disney would have to drop all of Marvel, not just the comics part of the company. And the movies are still making them a lot of money for the most part- quality be dammed.

Though it doesn't surprise me at all that this is happening. I'm more amazed that it took this long for Marvel to start bleeding money.

What about they just fire all the talent less hacks bleeding the money, hire some new people with respect for the property/experience in the field, and rebuild the mess?

Are they so stubbornly committed to SJW-ism at a corporate level that they would just stand by as a bunch of tumblrinas and troons destroy a whole division of their property??

Why is this a real book?

The division of the company that was making films (and making money), Marvel Studios, was reorganized in 2015 to be a part of Walt Disney Studios. They could easily kill off most of Marvel without harming the movie component.

So maybe it's because I don't go around in hipster circles, but since when are laundromats that big or have "trendy" cafeterias/bars?
"Laundrobars" with real (not snack bar) food and full bars actually do exist in America but are extremely rare, and from some looking around the examples that do exist are not in the places you'd think they exist (Asheville, NC, College Station, TX...there was one in NYC but it closed within a year).

I’ll guarantee you they’ve got craft beers and artisanal coffee, which costs ten times what normal shit would.
Which is hilarious considering a major plot point of that run of Batgirl is that she's supposed to be flat broke and thus has to resort to a makeshift costume when her old one was damaged (Even though the boots alone for her current outfit are $300) and that it almost caused her to fail when perusing her doctorate because she couldn't afford an external hard drive for her laptop.

If they were trying to make Batgirl look like a spend-happy dumbass with no understanding of money nor any planning skills, then mission accomplished.
