Since Zack's recap is bullshit, Pedro Pascal was one of the only big celebs that used to engage with Nerdrotic & crew and fling shit on social media in general so he's a forever target. He's very vocally woke and they hate him especially because he called Republicans Nazis around the same time Gina Carano invoked the holocaust and feel like it's unfair only she lost her job. Also Pascal is Chilean and Chileans are insane on twitter and other socials with mobs of nonsense trolling with recipes (couldn't make this shit up) so that accelerated things.

The only reason it’s not dying is because the Disney/Warner tugboat is keeping them on life support. Marvel/DC could make literally zero revenue and it would still be worth spending a pittance keeping the lights on, because “Disney shuts down Marvel Comics!” is a headline no executive wants to be responsible for. No normies actually *read* comic books, but actually shutting them down would be seen as a corporate vote of no confidence on the Marvel IP.

Also it's an IP farm for them, and to keep the copyrights current on many characters.

Again, no normies read comics, the comics being dogshit doesn’t affect them in the slightest. Making the comics good (by hiring better artists/writers/editors) will just be a waste of money because normies *still* aren’t gonna read them anyways.

Absolutely. Don't get me wrong, I don't think the Comics are healthy, and as a comic reader it upsets me to see a lot of characters I used to really enjoy get run through the DEI mud and twisted from the cool heroes they were will always be upsetting. But unlike Richard, I just stopped buying them, and ignored them. Disney/Warner is keeping them afloat, sure, and that's why this war Richard is engaged in is just as pointless as his gay spat with a man who doesn't even get drunk enough to look at him from across the bar.

If you look at his comment section, it sounds exactly like the replies to the comic pros he hates. Everyone is tiptoeing around his bitchiness, afraid to get banned or screenshotted.

[Edit] Speaking of which I decided to check his review of Wicked, which I turned off when he said "it's pretty good." I consider it funny though that Richard thinks the Drinker hates everything when his taste is just a little bit more discerning than Richard's scum sucking, bottom of the barrel, gutter level taste.

Pretty much this, but now that things are very bad for Disney and Warner Bros. Discovery, Marvel and DC need to start producing money for their respective companies. Warner is about to collaspe if it doesn't merge with anybody like Paramount, and Disney lost a lot of their revenue from abysmal park attendances (yet both companies insist on doing bonehead decisions Ya Bitchboi approves). This is why you're seeing a run like Spider-Man being Spider-Man with Mary Jane. There's only one comic book shop that's less than 20 minutes away, but even the hipster owner realized the Captain Sjwmarvel books he's getting aren't selling. He moved all the indie comics upfront, and Marvel/DC are now in the back of his store (He makes more money from older books, manga, Pokemon TCG and Japanese models instead of Marvel/DC books and Wokehammer shit).

Comics are to Hollywood what the WNBA is to the NBA: A cute little side project that cannot sustain itself and is only kept around because the backlash from the nonstumers (because they do not buy the product they are claiming to support but act like they do anyway and expect their opinion to matter as much as the paying customers' does) would give them worse publicity than online detractors do.

Normies buy comic book Merch, and some of them read comics (not on a comic book geek level, but they'll pick up an issue now and then). Thing is Normies gave Miles Morales and Captain Sjwmarvel a chance, but they realized these characters suck. You don't need to be a comic book geek to know "King Valkyrie" is really fucking retarded. Investors don't like losing money from unsold Shuricopters.

Drinker wasn't interested in seeing the film, Chris Gore said it was good, and that you'd only like it if you liked the musical.

So Drinker is essentially saying "I can't believe I'm doing this" especially since he said he did enjoy it, and especially since they went with the whole narrative of the actresses being complete woke idiots. Richard just can't go a day without saying something. It's also just a fucking title. You know, things that are meant to grab the viewers.

would Richard have liked it better if he had "Disrrupting the Narrative: Why Wicked is actually really good for Hollywood" which for Richard is a very succinct title.

Miles did not suck at the start and Captain Marvel was beloved back in the day. They were made to suck and be hated later by pseudo-writers.

I get that you need to grab attention but would it not be better to say "I cannot believe I am saying this!"? No misunderstandings by idiots, no misleading the audience, just honest takes. Do not feed the contrarian.
