#Comicsgate - The Culture Wars Hit The Funny Books!

At this point I'm surprised they even bother to continue to say that at this point. Rippaverse is a company after all, their success is measured by yearly revenue of how much money they make all together as well as how many books were sold as well every year and compare each year to the last that way, not how much every book made after the very first one each time per campaign over 3 years ago, especially expecting any or all of them to make even close to or more of the amount of 3.7 million each book. But then again this guy follows EVS so..... I'm not surprised he would think that. A lot of these people seem to suffer from the illusory truth effect on that app as well, they should learn to do their own research instead of taking the words of people that don't know anything about nothing, and obviously lie. Also I agree with Eric on this one, they have accused the Rippaverse of going out of business and being over, WAY too many times at this point. It's so old, outdone and boring, that there's no point in even correcting them now, not when more people see through it. These haters can't even be creative at this point, let alone believable. 🤦

Zack's LA Ex comic book campaign is over. Let's look at the numbers

The youtube video got 1,485 views and 128 thumbs ups
The campaign raised $3,102 from 183 backers

-12.3% of viewers donated
-More people backed the project than bothered liking the video
-Average donation was $16.95

Not too bad taking into account that Zack has been chasing viewers away and that the idea itself is quite bad
Now let's compare it to Comic book the Comic book which raised $34,222 from 628 backers. Zack has since deleted the youtube video so I cannot use it for comparisons

-Zack lost 445 backers, a 70.8% drop
-$31,120 less raised, a 90.9% drop
-Average pledge dropped by 69% He earned $37.54 less per backer than before

In fairness, his last campaign, comic book the comic book, had stretch goals for more pages. LA Ex on the other hand was simply a pay $15 for a single issue. On the other hand, Zack has been really critical of both Eric July and Critical Drinker for losing backers and money in subsequent campaigns. So in Zack's own logic he's a huge loser whose audience hate art

Someone made a video essay on CAMELOT331

This is bizarre. The guy is claiming Coom got fired by his racing team because of comments about an anime? I followed this dudes racing career as closely as anyone and I don't remember any of that. He's been saying dumb shit since Day 1 - that's the whole act - and I'm pretty sure the money just ran out for that rental car. His last crash taking out the whole field didn't help either.

They REALLY don't like it when you use their own pocket watching math against them, especially when in their case it's actually true and more effective. Sad part is YBZ as well as everyone else in that corpse called comicsgate were told over and over again by many different people what would happen if they didn't act professional and stop smearing everyone ESPECIALLY Eric July, and instead of being adults and taking that advice to heart, they spit it right back in the people's faces instead. Welp, now not only are they having bad campaign after bad campaign for real, BUT they lost pretty much all of their backers who actually read comics at this point and they all are so divided because of how seriously no one else takes them that they're fighting each other now just for clout. Karma is a bitch, it's just too bad they found out the hard way.

Not sure how long you've been following CG, but a lack of professional behavior has never been the biggest issue for them.

Were you around during the WarCampaign days? Did you see the infamous "Dark Roast" that cemented Zack's reputation forever?
Personal attacks and smears have been an integral part of CG since the early days. If anything, the retarded antics helped build their audience initially. The only people asking for a modicum of professional behavior from CG were guys like Smiller and Edwin Boyette. They were rewarded with ostracism, ridicule, and some honestly reprehensible personal attacks. They still get insults to this day if their names are mentioned, though it's been years since they've had anything at all to do with CG.

They're not losing customers because Ethan talks shit about other creators, they're losing customers because Ethan can't produce a product in a reasonable time frame, which is really the only professional behavior customers give a shit about. Eric July is getting it done and that is embarrassing to Ethan and Zack, which is why they're attacking him.

You're right, I stand corrected. But you have to admit that they're unprofessionalism they're displaying especially after so long has at least a little to do with it as well. I mean how many episodes of trashcast has that Faggot made now? Even his most hardcore backers are starting to get bored of him crying about one man all the time and nothing else.

I've never heard the actually Dark Roast video. I know he called Heather Antos a cum dumpster in it though.
No, I can't say that I have. You have a link?

It was posted here, but the link has long since expired:

In this link is the legendary one-time only Dark Roast that perpetually triggers the comics industry. I recommend everyone download a copy while you still can.

Some of the posters here must have saved a local copy, including, I would presume, the poster I quoted. I'm somewhat surprised nobody ever just embedded it in a post.

Not sure if it's been mentioned here, but we are currently starting up a Kiwi Comix Jam over here:

Thread 'Kiwi Farms Comix Jam Anthology: Open Call For Registrations!' https://kiwifarms.st/threads/kiwi-farms-comix-jam-anthology-open-call-for-registrations.232553/

This is not a comicsgate project, this is merely a community project from and for those who love comics.
All you have to do is produce it and get it out within a calender year and it's already 10x more successful than a CG project.
he actually launched another campaign not too long ago.
I was about to comment on the ABYSMAL turnout, and say something witty but you guys are on top of it, and that's why I'm proud of our little echo chamber.

Also: Predator Badlands only made it one week before getting shoved down to 3rd place. Sitting at a very comfortable 136.3k - but yeah, huge success Richard.
This is the best part for me. The only things his stupid chimping have accomplished are decimating his subscriber count and alienating most of the people willing to buy his awful comics. The cherry on top of the shit sundae is Zack's ridiculous claim that this is all part of his master plan to purity test his audience until only the most retarded Zackbots are left. The people he's complaining about don't even acknowledge his existence. Nobody cares and nobody is listening.
It's days like this when I am kinda proud of the Drinkerverse for exercising their restraint in talking about this little guy. EFAP just did a three video assessment of what three YouTubers had to say about Drinker's review of Badlands, and while I was a little disappointed no mention of Richard came with it, I also realized it's better this way. Just let the cranky old man play with his blocks and hug himself convincing himself that HE'S RIGHT, THEY'RE WRONG, EVERYTHING IS GOOD NOW! ALL IT TOOK WAS PISKOR'S DEATH AND NOW COMICS ARE ON THE UPSWING! HOLLYWOOD ISN'T BURNING!!! MARVEL DC PLEASE LET ME PLAY WITH YOU!! PLEASE!
Didn't anyone tell him he doesn't need to sink THAT low?
I usually avoid speaking to you directly because, fucking who cares about you... But this is one of the most retarded things you've said on here.
