Ethan van butt-fuck has lost money, credibility, quite a bit of his friends and now his own audience is starting to get tired of him because of his obsession with Eric July which is damaging his super chat money AND he's now ebegging. Any normal person would take a hint by now that he's doing more damage to himself than anyone else.
Some of his viewers want him to stop trashcast, others just hate Eric July.

i legitimately don't know how you hate a boring nigger so much that you'd dedicate almost half a decade of your life at this point to seething about him constantly.

you don't even really hear about anything else regarding comicsgate. I couldn't even tell you what malin or "cecil" are doing or what books they're trying to fund, or even any sperging about "SJWs" it's just the petty personal beefs of EVS and richard all day 24/7. when will this faggotry fucking end?

Some of his viewers are going to hate Eric no matter WHAT he does all while ignoring the hypocrisy of how Ethan is acting. But the super chat money is very low and is not adding up like he hopes it does.

I stand by when I say it's just envy and pure jealousy. In fact the only way he can cope is by saying Eric is failing over and over again. Nevermind the obvious that he's wrong, it's all he can do to make himself feel better.

I was actually talking about the avatar movies (i'm well aware that richard's viewers consist of parasocial retards and autistic a-logs like us). I've just legit never met anyone who has watch any of the avatar movies outside the first one and everyone of them thinks it was preachy slop garbage. It really show you how far franchise movies have fallen if fucking avatar is the hottest shit right now.
Meyer is acting like the Avatar movies making a ton of money is new. In fact it's often pointed out how weird it is for a franchise to make so much money but have such little discussion surrounding them in the cultural zeitgeist. Like you mentioned, you can't think of anyone who watches these things and yet they always bring in a decent box office. It's very odd.

It has a small but solid fanbase. Hard to have a bigger fanbase when there is barely any media relating to it and the bad guys are the same as their potential fanbase.

But none of those people talk politics or use them as a metaphor for political happenings? I mean it would be cringe but it would also make sense and show the cultural impact of the movies.

Also again there are apparently comic books. Has anyone heard of these? Has anyone read them?

They show up on Amazon near the top, but when you use Duckduckgo(I don't use Google on my phone) it's mostly 1 or 2 of these and Last Airbender comics.

It seems both Ethan and Richard both suffer from the same kind of envy, but I will say this for Meyer....at least HE has more than one person to be envious about. Ethan van fuck-face on the other hand mindlessly obsesses over Eric July to the point where even some of his own audience wants him to move on from him now. I mean the views and super chat money should have been an obvious clue that people don't want to hear about it anymore, or more specifically the lack thereof from before.

"Zach is more pathetic and jealous of More than one person at least"

Is that a complement?

The movies are nothing new. "Pocahontas" in a Sci-Fi setting. Not exactly groundbreaking. There are no memes (ideas spread virally) from it. No "No, I am your father!" quotes that become landmarks. It is a pretty standard execution of the story we all know. No funny jokes that make the movie memorable. The CGI is great and so is the world-building but that is it.

All of whom released a decade after the first movie. Not exactly the easiest way to maintain momentum.

It does not look like one.

"I don't see how TC can work without the focus on EJ."

It probably couldn't, but it doesn't work with the focus on EJ, either. VERY FEW PEOPLE WANT TO WATCH THAT SHIT!!!

What would he discuss outside of EJ anyways? His work on comic books? LOL.

Moron Meyer defending the new Avatar movie/Disney being too big of a company.

Did you know there are Avatar comic books, some are even recent, yet no one talks about those comics.
No one talks about anything Avatar I've noticed.

Richard is once again showing how low his IQ is (really, he should just sit down and get to work on his AI comic book)

"Cultural footprint" in terms of financial success is not the same as what most people use it for: Relevance.

"You're gonna need a bigger boat"
"Welcome to Jurassic Park"
"No, I am your father"
"Your mother sucks cocks in hell!"
"Hello, Clarice"
"Get away from her, you bitch!"
"Yes, it's true, this man has no dick"
"You are one, ugly motherfucker!"
"I'm too old for this shit"

a sweeping shot of a helicopter flying past a rock leading to an island of dinosaurs (I've been to that rock, it's much smaller in person, they fucking tricked me)
a high speed chase in the desert with slapped together vehicles made of iron and rock music hurtling towards a sandstorm of biblical proportions
a 50m tall monster getting tangled in electrical wire as battle damaged Tokyo awaits its fate
"Yippe-ki-yay motherfucker!"
a thumbs up rising from the molten steel after a sacrifice
Travolta and Jackson dressed sharply in suits, pointing guns together as they blow away some stoner
"I'll be back."

"Heeeere's Johnny!!"
The crack of a whip, a beautifully recorded pummel punch from Indiana Jones
The smoky darkness of a room where Marlon Brando sits in his finest tuxedo
Superman's theme playing as the man of steel flies off to face his greatest opponent

"Say hello to my little friend!"
A well place score that even people who have never seen the movie before can recognize.

All these examples and tens of hundreds of thousands more are examples of cultural footprints.
It's not just movies either, it's books, it's music, it's comics, television, art...

Avatar 1, I would argue, has SOME cultural footprint but it's very light. Not many people off the street can quote something from it, some might not know music, actors, or even plot. They just know it was very beautiful to the point where morons would kill themselves because they couldn't live there. Me personally? I remember one major thing from Avatar - the fact that the main character wanted to shtup the princess but she was betrothed to someone else, so James Cameron killed him off very conveniently so they could get together in the most tropey way possible. I think Sigourney Weaver is in that.

I would argue the Transformers films have more cultural footprint than the Avatar films. I'm not saying they aren't successful, but it's not just us who find it weird that for a franchise that makes at least 1bil each film, no one can quote it, name characters, or really say anything about it outside of "it looks pretty"

I have a passion for films, and it's not just critically or commercially acclaimed ones. I enjoy a good slopfest, or cringe D-list film. If it entertains, that's what I enjoy. So I don't begrudge Richard for liking shite, I just hate that he has such a snobby fuckhead attitude while also being absolutely wrong on every level about every film.

Speaking of which:
Predator Badlands which he took offense to personally, is officially a bomb. Its reported budget was 105mil. It's possible it made little profits, but they don't want to break even or "little profit" for a franchise they purposely dropped down a rating to include everyone in. For random comparison, Chainsaw Man had a film out, they made a little less than 30mil below Predator, with a smaller US release. It was also an R rated film. Usually anime movies that aren't Pokemon or some sort of hyper popular series don't stand a chance compared to good ole fashioned red blooded American films. I also picked Chainsaw Man because I enjoy the series, and it's an anime, which makes Richard seethe.

"Did Eric forget he had a kid"

Motherfucker, Zaq and the Throat Goat both have multiple children and both seem to be doing nothing but shooting their careers in the head. Zaq had a purge that would make Stalin blush, and EVS doesn't seem to be doing much better.

Also, what the fuck is with the Hibbity Jibbity shit. Just man the fuck up and call him a "nigger" because you clearly fucking want to.

Small and solid fanbases don't bring in 750+ million dollar box office, which is Avatar's case

Small and solid fanbases help keep a minimum of relevance in franchises by keeping the word of mouth circulating endlessly, by proselytizing with normies, by defending rabidly any slight towards their bitch ass hobby, by going the extra pathetic mile by doing conventions and such, which thus far ain't Avatar's case.

People however go watch James Cameron's films for the same reasons they went to see George Lucas' SW prequels, to wit, a creator with a huge legacy name who even when delivering trite, clumsy plots, has a knack for making a screen look gorgeous for two/three hours. Apparently this is enough for people to put asses in seats.

I will grant Van Sciver this, before Eric July showed him up by simply delivering crap on time and making even more money than Frog, I always thought that Ethan would always pragmatically turn to where ever the wind would blow in order to keep making money. But no, he really stuck to his guns on this one, profitability be damned and chose heckling July's success as the hill to die on.

I think a good chunk of whatever CG's vitality is left comes through this thread and YT creators slightly more popular (and disgusting) than Ethan throwing them a bone every now and then in the form of a negative comment or allusion when it becomes expedient to do so. But on the whole, CG's enemies and targets have by now learned that the best strategy against Zack, Ethan & co. is denying them any attention and/or feedback.

That would be one reason for success but the fanbase is small. That is why there is almost zero talk about it beyond the years it is released. However, that is not the only reason. Another reason is the fact that Cameron makes simple movies. "Forbidden Love" but in a ship, "Pocahontas" in space etc etc. See what I mean? The watchers know what they will get and that can go for a lot when it comes to casual movie goers.
