A couple of those that jumped out at me started with the assertion that the polls didn't just involve fans. Maybe I have a boomers idea of how youtube works, but does the platform show your community posts to anyone except your subscribers?
It wasn't even a full year ago that 499 (the closest analogue to Is This You?) was able to gross 40,000 within 48 hours. After losing 90-95% of his backers from 2018 over the past three years, Meyer runs a survey of his remaining audience and finds that 'only' a sizeable minority of them find his blowing off fulfillment dates unacceptable, which actually indicates that even now he's not done bleeding backers. After all, there's no guarantee that the customers currently tolerating delays won't lose their patience in the future. The only question is if the loss rate is increasing or decreasing, which would require the same survey being taken over different point in time to answer. Instead of taking this as a sign for alarm, Meyer shrugs and declares "good news, not many seem to care about due dates so I'll just keep on doing what I'm doing". It'd be pitiful if the person in question deserved it.

In other news:

Marvel variant cover artist and whisper network enthusiast Mark Brooks has been taking a shellacking online, with many videos and tweets questioning how a SJW Disney employee that champions gatekeeping could consider themselves "punk". But he has made a powerful ally after earning CG's ire: Liam Gray.
In the above video, Liam lauds Brooks' ability to survive in a tough industry by the merit of his work and that him being able to do so doesn't make any less of a real punk. Liam follows with an impassioned speech against those who would seek to exclude other within a movement and that the comics community was strongest when people came together and didn't purity test one another. Which... yeah.

This defense though did not go unnoticed, or unappreciated:

Liam has extended an invitation for Brooks to go on his show. Will he accept? Stranger things have happened in Comicsgate (but not much).

In other other news,

The ongoing revelations regarding exposed MGTOW alpha masculinity coach Jack Murphy are overlapping into Comicsgate, with (the godawful) Lil' Chad, penned by a CG-adjacent member of Murphy's "Liminal Order", now furiously purging all of its many inclusions of the pegging and cuckoldry enthusiast.

1641007312872.png1641008278997.png

This isn't to say that everyone was turning on the chad masculinity scribe just for writing the most explosive lolcow in recent memory into comic. Let he who was without connection cuckoldry cast the first st- it was TUG. Of course it was TUG.

1641007816996.png

Will there be a Lil' Chad/LUG crossover in the future? There could be entire shared continuity for what I call the Grifterverse line of crowdfunded children's comics.

Where is that at? It would be way more entertaining than anything you have done in recent memory.

Oh, it is hilarious how you think you were the one who took down #WASCAMPAIGN big daddy aka Victoria Simpage

By the way, Have a great and safe New Year #COMICSGATE !!!! 2022 is going to be awesome!
Hey Randall, how's sales for Cider been?

By the way @FROG when are your good friends Testefy & JDA going to make their debut on CG Kings? I'm sure your audience will find them just as charming, witty and entertaining as you do.

Could Simple Zach just be the same passive aggressive bitch Gary is, taking the limited shots at anyone who mehs in his direction? If so, he's worse than the SJWs he's criticized because at least they directly responded like crazy homeless people.
YBZ has the cognitive speed of a glacier turned avalance: Too slow for too long then all at once.
He has the passive aggressive phases then one day he stops and two weeks later he will be like "I was salty but realized I was wrong". This is probably his one redeeming feature, he will own up to his mistakes. Then will make them again.

The people that get worked up about this are either mentally retarded, or just 14-16 years olds that live through twitter.
Ask them, when your 5 year old sibling says or does something stupid, it is just because they are very young and inexperienced
and their brains are not yet developed enough to know better, right?
That is exactly why we adults laugh at you, 14-16 year old twitter activists, you did poop in the diaper and we laugh but in a few years you will mature and understand and then you will laugh with us when the next set of younglins makes fools of themselves.

There is a lot of legitimate criticism that can be levelled at Zack, however it is unfair to say that he has no intention of fulfilling his crowdfunds. In fact he has a long, proven track record of fulfilment. His problem is that he is frequently late on delivery. A couple of his projects ('The Expendables Go to Hell' and the still unfulfilled 'Jawbreakers: Grand Bizarre'; the later held up while Zack allegedly researches quantum physics) have been delayed to a degree that is genuinely egregious and unacceptable.

Long time viewers of Comics MATTER will be aware that there is a cycle to Zack's creativity: We are currently at the stage where Ya Boi, his mind overcrowded with ideas, disingenuously attempts to give himself permission to launch multiple, overlapping campaigns on the understanding that some, if not all, will be late.

This manic episode will eventually give way to a period of apparent inertia, where the extent of the burden he has imposed on himself will become evident, his OCD will ramp up and progress on fulfilment will slow down considerably.

The final stage, in what I am calling the Meyer Cycle, entails Zack almost, but not quite, bringing his affairs back into order. Before he can reach a point where all of his campaigns are fulfilled and he has a clean slate, the manic part of the cycle begins again.

It's the kind of recurrent self-sabotaging behaviour that would have Wile E. Coyote shaking his head in disapproval.

Regular viewers of Comics MATTER will be aware that you can't fix Zack, anymore than you can tame Dylan - the good looking kid from the wrong side on the tracks who hangs out at the malt shop in his absent father's leather jacket. Both men are forces of nature, like a river or some geese.

I want Zack to succeed but he makes life very hard for himself, and tries the patience of his don’t mind delayed campaigns (i.e., supply chain, printing issues, health issues, etc) but won’t except late campaigns (I.e., books that are not even close to being complete at the time of the initially published ship date).

Backers don’t mind “delayed” campaigns, (i.e., Covid supply-chain related issues, print file issues, creator health issues, etc.) but find “late” campaigns unacceptable (I.e., books that aren’t even complete at the original published release date.)

Normally I'd agree but he seems to have a accrued a bunch of bitter-enders as fans that will swallow every turd he shits out and come back for more. Why this is the case I have no idea, but it is hard to argue against.
The bitter end guys are the ones who were on board when Zack was the ADHD sperging godfather of CG. They latched onto Zack when he was reviewing comics in cars, flushing ripped up comics down the toilet, calling Heather Antos a cum dumpster on the "Dark Roast", and filing a lawsuit against the comics industry's biggest manbaby.

Those guys are the hardcore CG True Believers who still buy into the idea that "loyalty" (whatever that means) is some sort of cornerstone CG virtue, probably due to WC hammering on it so much when the schisms in CG started. So they keep funding his shit because they are loyal to a Zack that hasn't existed for a couple of years, the 2017 Zack. He knows he has a core group of backers that will gladly gobble up the stupidest shit he can put out. Zack can easily pitch something dumb and clear at least $60k no matter what it is. He doesn't promote his books outside of his channel because he just doesn't have to.

I have to admit I didn't really see this happening. I was under the impression that he'd lose tons of backers after cucking to Waid, launching new campaigns while others sat unfulfilled, and being a general asshole to backers that had the temerity to question his missteps. Zack's tendency to fall ass backwards into success as well as my own tendency to underestimate the severe retardation of hardcore CG enthusiasts have forced me to eat crow.

Another way to think about it is Ethan Ralph and Movie Bob still have patrons and subscribers. This isn't unusual, its the life cycle of this kind of thing.

What I've realized is that Richard's measure of success is pretty low.

He can live off a fraction of what he grifted in ComicsGates heyday. He gets to make his shit comics, get celebrated by his literally brain dead audience, and live in comfort. His cost of living has to be insanely cheap. He lives in someone else's house, owns his car, and receives health care from the VA if he needs it. The only real expensive thing in his life is his child support for his daughter. He can easily if things stay stable from here just make half assed videos and bad, overpriced comics while living comfortably.

While people have the right to feel betrayed, if you support Simple Zach at this point that's more a statement on you than on him.

The really unacceptable one was making Expendables really late. A relatively popular film series with a film star attached should have been his priority.

From what little I know of Sly, he's a writer/producer as much as an actor, so he'd understand minor delays in creative output, but I can't see him being thrilled by YBZ pissing around with pointless shit while Expendables got later and later...

Zack can do 2 campaigns a year and if they make $60-90k (which is the neighborhood of his non-Jawbreakers output) then he's living better than a lot of people. If he weren't so absolutely lazy and weird, he could do much better. Guys like Brian Pulido and, to a lesser extent, Ernst and Lim have turned crowdfunding and fulfillment of their stuff into an actual business with dependable turnaround times and a consistent level of quality. But that takes work, focus, and a level of determination Zack just can't be arsed with.

The way Zack does things, he can coast on his core backers while doing the bare minimum to promote his books, he can be as lazy and abrasive as he likes without having to fear they'll go anywhere, and he can continue to put stuff off for as long as he wants while he pursues whatever caprice his addled mind is obsessed with in any given five minute window. Zack has taken the CG path of least resistance (or as close to it as one can get while still actually putting out a product).

Since @FROG seems to be preoccupied elsewhere lately, I hope my fellow kiwis don't mind if I briefly take up their reading time to engage in promotional duties for the new Narzack on here?

I bring hot news from Zack, right out of his email inbox:

That's right, it is coming, people! Get excited!

I'm so hyped I made this special promo flyer, with direct Frog quotes about Narwhal, taken from his posts right here on the farms:

I'm sure it'll look better when they hit it with the 4-color pastels.

Hey ya Comicsgate Kiwi Farms ; ) Wanna spend every day of 2022 with Anna ThatStarWarsGirl?
Kinda? Not Really? Maybe if she shuts her trap? No way in hell?
1640849607840.png
...well you won't be anyway because this calendar was not in backers mailboxes Jan 1 2022. But if Anna won't provide photographic materials for marking the passage of time and other purposes... maybe her more attractive sister will!

Like her sister, she is a painter. Her instagram contains some very nice photos, some professionally shot. She isn't too active on twitter, mostly some one liners like this...

and a few BLM type retweets... but that is not uncommon even among her sister's fat old streamer buddies: https://archive.is/cAFhC1641095405476.png Emmily has also been on YouTube. She was a panelist on the In My Opinion podcast. Her appearances on the show are linked here, give them a like and a subscribe: Ric James In My Opinion Podcast feat. Emmily Mello. It features dating advice, life experiences, serious subjects like suicide and abortion, and some spicy subjects such as:

With this type of subject matter maybe she would feel at home on the J.A.C.K. Show or Flashcast with her sis to talk about farting or faking orgasms? Uh oh.. I don't think so because one of the serious subjects on the show When 2 Cut Family Ties? seems to have upset Emmily.

Oh dear. Well since you won't be seeing Anna and Emmily together anytime soon, or the TSWG 2022 calendar either, I bring you...
That Star Wars Girl's More Attractive Sister Calendar!

That should hold you over however many extra months it takes to get the Anna TSWG calendar if you are. Personally I think a woman who doesn't have to dress up as some nerd shit in retouched photos to look good is higher quality. On that note Happy New Year 2022 KF, may your posts be high quality too!

Ah, yes… Murmer. One who merms.

That Star Wars Girl's More Attractive Sister Calendar!
Eh, chicks with nose rings are instant zeroes in my book. Shit's gross. And what's up with the sex podcast? A certain Mr. Goldman seemed to be quite fond of them too. Is listening to people talk about their sexual exploits like some sort of low-key audio form of softcore pornography or something? I can't imagine ever wanting to listen to a podcast like that.

That whole Narwhal page makes me wince. Especially that screen with the Hitler image, the first thing you see as you scroll down. No wonder all the pages are done, the art looks like it was shat out as fast as possible. The school of ex-laxism. I mean, I don't demand a rigidly perfect rectangle dragged out with the relevant tool, but shit.

Also, it jars with the rigidly perfect gradients, dragged out with the relevant tool. That background gradient makes the little circular stage, the screen etc. look like they're floating in mid air. Draw an x axis somewhere, buddy.

Personally I think a woman who doesn't have to dress up as some nerd shit in retouched photos to look good is higher quality.

Thottoos level it out again. Especially ones that look like flight safety procedure diagrams. Bend over and place your head between the legs.
And her art sucks as much as Annas.

But if Anna won't provide photographic materials for marking the passage of time and other purposes... maybe her more attractive sister will!
If it's true that the suit makes the man, is it also true that the shitty prison tats make the woman? I'm noticing a pattern here.

Speaking of making the man, Anna's sisters youthful glow does much to highlight the matronly grace with which Anna is approaching The Wall. What a handsome lady she's becoming. Can't wait for the bikini calendar reveals this summer.
