It's really a bitch move because the whole point of Comicsgate is to fight censorship and Liam is being an exquisite cunt right now. He is so staggeringly self-unaware. I used to feel bad that @FROG burned over 1k of Xenotype books but frankly Liam is being an asshole and needs to wake the fuck up.

Naturally, that will never happen.
There's some people here (admittedly, including myself) that believe CG is a goddamned mess (and, at times, more than a little "grifty") and the whole original rationale for having the thing went out for a pack of smokes and never came back ages ago. However, I think Liam is actually doing CG a HUGE favor here by feeding into the old censorship narrative that launched it all.

Also, it's gonna be interesting, if this stands, to see how @FROG and others react. Kickstarter is apparently the big bad, but if there were ever a casus belli to go to war with IGG...

I'm not celebrating, I'm busting my sides laughing. If this leads to a Global LOLSuit it'll be the most entertaining thing to happen in the CG space in several months.
I agree! I'll make the popcorn!

I'm just suggesting that while none of you have to like JDA, and I wouldn't dare try to change anyone's opinion regarding him, Liam is a complete punk ass little faggot bitch for doing this. As he has ALWAYS been. I know it's a meme that JDA cries a lot about being persecuted, but I think Liam might have actually fucked him over illegitimately on this one. Little thin-skinned niggerfaggot.

How does Liam prove to Indie Go Go's satisfaction that JDA is taking the piss out of him, as opposed to it be a piss take of someone, anyone else?

Are they just taking Liam's word for it?

What he did on Youtube when his copyright strikes failed was switch up to claims that he was being "bullied" by people who created content he didn't like. The complaints about bullying seemed to go to a different group that was much more sympathetic to him. It might be the same thing at IGG.

The guy is also a pathological liar. There is no telling what he might have told them or what sort of story he invented. This is a guy who has been recently inventing a whole string of stories about how he is being physically attacked at his home, harrassed in various ways and how his family doesn't feel safe. Part of being a psychopath is being able to manipulate people through telling them stories.

DO IT. LEAD THE THIRD CG LOLSUIT. MAKE IT SO.

Man, if only that crybaby industry pro had just let the coughi boi put out his army men comic book, I'm pretty sure the entire planet would be at least 5% less autistic.
I'm gonna take a "wait and see" approach on this. If JDA threatens legal action, it's usually preceded with correspondence between the relevant entities. IGG could still reverse course. @Strix454 is right that Liam probably sold them a bill of goods. How many people probably did parodies using IGG concerning that other, far more famous, orange man?

From what I understand, right now, they haven't given any reason why this was done. It's kinda curious.

EDIT:

Also, it goes without saying that I'd like to see JDA get his 16k to get the book out, but if that's not in the cards, IGG needs to refund everybody. If they don't do either, something fucky is going on here.

Haven't read IGG terms of service but they might include accepting that the platform has little explanation to give when pulling the plug on anyone.

As for Grey, well, hope he can take it as well as he dishes, because sooner or later he might launch a campaign himself and anything can be open to interpretation...

If it's as simple as making up a half convincing lie, why don't various A-logs do that against the person they despise?

Maybe coz Xenotype did reasonable business for IGG, they are taking Liam's word for things?

Didn't Frog also have a "Dirtworm Doug" bonus book on one of his campaigns after he fell out with TenNapel? I seem to remember Doug taking it in stride, though.

I guess it's time for the Streisand Effect to happen: Can someone explain to me why exactly Liam is pissy about this book? Whatever the lore here is, I missed it. And what is the "Korean mangr" thing?

Liam said he was re-writing Boy Island, presumably to include more graphic sex scenes.

That was Cecil's long lost $281,160 campaign. Hasn't even been an update since early December.

There's some fun comments on that one:

I have a feeling he spent all the money.

I doubt that's the reason, but if it's true, joke's on them. Nothing Liam will ever do with be as successful as Xenotype. Ever again. Period. He burned too much goodwill with that shit.

I mean, look at his other two campaigns:

1646715260553.png
1646715298150.png

Say what you want about JDA, but he collected more money from A High School Girl in the Crusades, in a much shorter amount of time, than the orange faggot has with Wonder Island. That's how far he's fallen from grace, since his halcyon days of Xenotype. From $75k to barely breaking $10 for a campaign that's been up for a long time.

And before anybody says "yeah, but Liam's a faggot, so it's not hard to beat him now," I know. That's the point.

I'll try my best.

Liam did a book called Xenotype. It was some cyberpunk scifi thing done in manga(ish) style. He had a young talented artist named Ody who is from Greece. WAY more talented than Liam. Enough to where the book actually pulled in pretty good money on IGG. When the book released, the page order was fucked up with one of the editions.

Liam has two "copes" concerning this. One is that it's all Ody's fault. even though editing was Liam's responsibility, and only one edition of the book was fucked up. The other is that he's been claiming it was actually printed "Korean Style." Which is wrong, because that's not fucking Korean style. He simply fucked up the page order and is trying to save face any way he can. Ody (again, the actual talent) got fed up with Liam's bullshit and incompetence, and broke with Liam to pursue other ventures (he also got a shoutout by PewDiePie at some point). When Liam was taken to task for this bullshit by Wiggle, including shamelessly blaming Ody for his own mistakes, Liam famously started screaming about how "Ody was like a son to me!". Also @FROG made it a point to burn his copies of Xenotype on a livestream, because he was so disguested with the whole thing and Liam.

Anyways, JDA did a stretch goal for his campaign in which he would do a version of his book "Korean style." That is to say, the page order would be similarly fucked up, and it would be completely unreadable. Just as a joke. After the first strike (see below), it also ended up having a cover where a drawn caricature of Liam would be carrying a limp Ody and screaming the famous "He was like a son to me line!" (but without naming either of them). It also had a gigantic pink gorilla laughing in the background (which would be Wiggle).

That's it. That cover. That's what Liam is angry over. Because he's a bitch made faggot who can't tolerate any criticism or being made fun of. I think most people know this about Liam by now.

To be completely honest, JDA did have Liam Grey's name on the page for a little while... joking that he pioneered the "Korean mangr" style that JDA was employing for this parody edition... but he took that down when Liam complained the first time. Fair enough. It should have ended there.

Some people don't like JDA and are probably laughing at his misfortune now, but I can't bring myself to do that because, regardless of any other feelings I might have for JDA, this is bullshit. Total SJW tactic employed by Liam. I hope Liam gets eaten by a dingo or a carnivorous koala bear.

ETA: I would bet you almost anything that if you asked Null, either 1776 Hosting or Cloudflare has gotten complaints from Liam or somebody closely connected to Liam. The faggots from War Campaign were caught complaining about this thread last year, IIRC.

ETA2: Minor correction per JDA below.

Only correction here is that the cover in question wasn't made until AFTER Liam attempted to get my campaign struck the first time. We certainly were making a Korean Mangr to make fun of his stupid Xenotype printing which he won't own up to, but we were just going to do it with our regular cover. This cover was only created in response to him trying to deplatform us. The more he pushes, the more I'll double down too.

Blunder Island is currently in production because of this bullshit. Hope you enjoy, Liam. I know you read this.

Yesss! Let the war for the biggest manlet in indie comics begin, this will entertaining. There can be only one! This chapter in CG history shall be dubbed- The Manlet Wars.

If it goes into lawsuit, it'll go into Lolcow & Lolcow LLC for sure.

We need to feed that poor beast something substantial. Between the Vic appeal not coming back, the YBZ lawsuit sputting into a wet fart, and the general idiocy of everyone in the Preston lawsuit except Frog, I am deeply concerned about that thread's diet.

BTW, I'll preemptively put $5 on JDA winning, or not being as big a manlet as Liam. Whichever way you want to figure it.

I guess it's time for the Streisand Effect to happen: Can someone explain to me why exactly Liam is pissy about this book?
Liam has a friend called Raging Golden Eagle (RGE). Raging Golden Eagle gave some coverage to this particular JDA crowdfunded book on March 1st.

Liam considered this a personal betrayal by a friend. And somewhat true to form, Liam decided to take his anger out on someone else. So he did a strike on (a video archive for his content on Odysee called "the orange dojo" and got it taken down. He also did a strike against the JDA campaign at the same time.

Liam has big problems with emotional control and eventually he will always explode in some direction. The narratives from Liam since the strikes have often been about friends and his constantly being betrayed by his friends. Which translates to him really being angry first at Raging Golden Eagle for platforming JDA. Then anger at Yellow Flash first for trying to tard wrangle him with EVS several weeks(?) ago and then not supporting him over the strikes.

Certain other very minor people on the edges of CG have recently been pretending to be Liam's "friend" with the seeming goal of encouraging his anger in certain directions that are of use to them. One of them did a livestream with Liam where he pretended to be interested in talking about things like transformers with Liam but just kept hammering a list of dumb bullet points about JDA in the stream. Liam was too dumb and too desperate for any kind of friend to see through it.

You are officially the only person Liam has ever beaten. Live with that shit.
I don't know, JDA happens to be the most successful Comicsgater to have ever litigated (one victory). It may be jumping the gun to say we've seen the last of him on Indiegogo.

Not all of them. I will point out that more of the smaller campaigns and even the CG resident E-Thot seem to get their books out in a more timely manner than the larger campaigns and campaigns from some of the former professionals. At least it seems that way to me, @Mister Dongs might have the actual data on this.

1646725667161.png

Statistically, the trendline follows that a big CG campaign on average takes nearly twice as long as a smaller campaign. As some of us may recall, Comicsgate was (to some) founded around the cause of removing of self-appointed gatekeepers positioned between customers and the material they want to buy. Unfortunately this places in the customer's hands the responsibility of making informed consumer decisions, something that the average Comicsgater is proven to be very disinclined to do. On the whole, concepts like 'value' or 'timeliness' evidently don't really seem to play a factor of whether a Comicsgater will back a comic; a public domain poem with with 16 pages of illustrations by Patrick Thomas Parnell can charge just as much as Joe Ball's 300 page Death Death Death and what's more raise the same amount of funding.

@YoungRippa59 gives some more details for his hopes and aspirations for the Joggaverse.
On the one hand I admire and respect what Mr. Rippa claims to be doing as all artists and visionaries are to some extent delusional people by nature. However, most learn in adolescence to keep their mouths shut about it until they have something to show for it. The fact that he's hasn't indicates that he's either a highly sheltered man with a pampered ego or there's some agenda or grift at play that compels him to put an empty cart before his horse. Given the context, I'm leaning towards the latter.

The stream snipe of D&V Investigations was hilarious https://youtu.be/kSljTDYZYSw?t=3257 they really are delusional, not addressing the default judgement at all whatsoever. Cocaine is a helluva drug.

Vean and Dikki spent 30 minutes covering Coach Red Pill in Ukraine of all things and then 5 minutes hand wringing about how JDA accidentally revealed Liam Grays address, despite his fucking MEDICARE CARD (as an aussie this was quite a shock to see) being on the fucking farms. They barely touched on how Liam Gray is a fucking flaggot who seemingly got JDA's indiegogo taken down. Instead Vikki actually cosigned his actions saying that Liam Gray is entitled to take down JDA's campaign. ????? Imagine having to defend that position. It's the type of instanity only someone of the silent generation could conceive.

Grandma Vikki also saw fit to tweet a series of tweets rejoicing in Liam Grays flagrant flaggotry. When you're willing to cosign flagging down campaign to fuck with creators being able to deliver their product to their backers you lose the moral high ground. But to be fair, she might just have dementia.

Still no word on whether the senior citizen or the crackhead have lawyers, but yeah lets fling shit at MARTINA of all people.

vikki is an old cunt.png

This old hag knows that Martina had her lolsuit dismissed right? Vikki is the one facing a default judgement. Sour grapes, or poisoned apples I should say.

Peggers can't be choosers @VIkkiVerse. You should live out the rest of your days in an eldercare facility, you've expressed enough dog's anal glands. I'm sure the orderlies will love to hear all about Ribbit Coin.
