This didn't get coverage within ComicsGate but I was also part of an arbitration with IndieGoGo which was successfully I think the term I'm supposed to use is "mutually satisfactorily respolved to all parties involved" which was in regards to the last time IGG tried to deplatform right-wing creators. My team and I are very legally savvy and even the worldcon incident was not my first rodeo (unlike Vikki and Dean who jesus christ get a fucking lawyer so you don't have to pay PP $711,000!).

I'm going to have a hunch that IGG just panicked because they were getting mass false flag reportings after I did my stream dunking on Vikki & Dean sunday night which they in turn panicked and shut down their own stream attempting to attack me after a mere 3 minutes of the topic because they got too much pressure in their chat. As there's nothing wrong with my campaign, it's not against any TOS, it's all fair use, I'll bet IGG doesn't want to deal with another arbitration process again and it'll all work out as soon as I get contact with them. I'm not going to make any moves until there's a good way to speak with them. Stand by!

Liam's typical behavior when he finally loses on things like this is to shave his head. Or perhaps tear his own hair out. Don't know which. He would also typically turn on a member of his own entourage. But he is running out of people to fill that role.

The WSFS/Worldcon thing? I think he got $4,000 and an apology out of that, didn't he? It's not much, but it's better than any other CGer has gotten to date. YBZ's lawsuit was a total bust.

JDA is no stranger to the courtroom game. Unlike Liam, who threatens criminal (THE CROWN!) and civil action on the regular, and claims he has lawyers, but we never see anything ever come of his threats.

But hey.... I don't actually believe Liam has ever had a lawyer though. So there's maybe a job opening for Spectre there? He has "experience" with writing defense motions. :evil:

I readily admit my lack of knowledge on legal matters and usually read instead of offer commentary, but it seems to me that JDA's living in California (where many of these Silicon Valley platforms are based) offers him a serious advantage since it allows him to circumvent all these jurisdictional issues where most of these lolsuits wind up dead in the water. At the end of the day, it's IndieGoGo that decides what's allowed on their platform and not Liam; trying to sue Liam across international waters instead for tortoise interference seems like an insane and ruinous waste of time, which I suspect is what Liam is counting on. Unfortunately for him though, going after Liam is not Jon's only available option.

From what I recall of @TheCosmicWarrior 's last case against IGG, it was on the basis of California free speech laws forbidding Indiegogo from playing the role of censor in regards to political speech and then taking this to arbitration, which was then resolved to the "mutual satisfaction of all involved". It's hard to see how that specific argument is applicable in this case, but who knows what other argument they could present to the court. I'm certainly not as knowledgeable in California tort and free speech laws as JDA is or, more importantly, his lawyers are.

I was gonna since his concern trolling me and letting me know he has spies in my discord was totally convincing this morning, but now that you posted this, I certainly will not use Spectre_06 and will use a real lawyer if the need arises.

Yeah, again, NOT DMCA. IGG is citing an internal policy (possibly badly implemented or interpreted). They are not being forced to adhere to "federal law."

I mean, if you are any sort of semi-intelligent person, who would you much rather trust concerning this? The actual rationale given to @TheCosmicWarrior and the campaign backers by IGG (actual parties in interest in this matter), or the shit the craterface stolen valor moron is peddling?

I'm gonna go with IGG's rationale given to JDA. It just seems smarter. Call me crazy. 🙄
