It's shit like what Tim Lim says that lends credence to indie comic creators (CG, CG adjacent, or anti-CG) being complete retards. Getting a book out on time despite its quality is braindead fucking retarded horrible business advice. It's a sure way to kill your career before it even starts. Look at the Sonic the Hedgehog movie. It came out almost a whole year after its intended deadline, and we all know it was due to the outcry of the quality of the character's design. Had they released the movie on time, it would have bombed completely. But in a rare case of being proactive, the studio pulled the movie, fixed the design, and lo and behold happy fans = a successful franchise. Same with any medium, in this case books.

What creators need to do is better calculate how long it will take to make a book, add the time for live streaming, add a few months on top of how long it will take to print, and then add 10 years on it, and that way your book will never be late.

I gave Tim Lim all the credit for quietly humiliating Liam Gray when the latter tried to smear the former in claiming poor book sales (we all know how that turned out.) But it's shit like what he does on Twitter that makes him petty and feminine. Seriously, Tim, focus on making your book and growing your audience. This is how you kill your audience.

For every Watchmen, DKR or The Authority (all delayed) there are hundreds of merely good-to-passable works like Doomsday Clock where any sort of popularity or even memory of the material (which might have sustained a readership out of customer inertia) simply disappeared into the ether in between delays.

Frog in my opinion, based on the regard of his DC work is held in to this day by fans and other creators, is capable of delivering on such a thing. The vast majority of creators though, CG or otherwise, are not and they'd be well advised to hem to business reality instead of, for example, allowing Jawbreakers: Grand Bizarre to coast a year and a half past its due date due to tinkering with a goddamn 48-page script.

Well, being on time is something that Lim objectively does well. He's not wrong to highlight that fact as a sales tactic, but I agree it looks petty to do it as a dig against FROG. He doesn't need such drama to succeed.

It's my understanding FROG made the remark he did here because (as @Rupin pointed out back in March) CBH expressed his desire to be CG, but on time. If his shit fails to even launch due to an absurd $10,000 goal, and crap artwork. I think FROG is entitled to enjoy a bit of schadenfreude. I dunno if Lim comprehends the full backstory here.

I guess you had to be here for "The Glove" and all of the strange behavior Tim and his pals have demonstrated since 2018. None of it makes much sense to me. But it's an ongoing concern of Tim's to flatter and befriend internet weirdos who obsessively hate me. He seems to bring them in close, appear on their livestreams, defend them on social media, and even give them published writing gigs.

It reminds me of Doug TenNapel. The day he fell away from ComicsGate, he's suddenly in the comments section of a barely comprehensible hate video about me by "The Amazing Adam" telling this retard that he's a man with a Spiritual Core, and Doug's whole line of bullshit. Tim seems to employ similar manipulation with worthless internet personas like Roiloups, Capn Cummings and The Hut.

I don't pay too much attention, because I'm really not interested in those guys. Their books aren't for me, their whole vibe just strikes me as For Young Girls. But they swerve into my lane fairly often for guys who aren't interested in drama.
