He was on the movement before it Crystalized and unlike Captain Cummings he didn't become a bitter bitch about it. But he didn't like the direction the movement went once Ethan became the star.

Kelsey was bringing drama to Doug AND Doug's team so he contacted Kelsey and Kelsey told him he'd continue to be a dick so he contacted Kelsey's tard wrangler hoping he'd wrangle him.

Instead Mitch went apoplectic and launched a gay op with Ethan.

I said "Fuck Doug" as a joke because Cecil and Malin were goofing on them. If you listen to the whole segment of the video you'll hear me saying a lot of nice things about them. It was obviously a JOKE! Much like Doug Ernst.

"I like Pussy" which I'm finding difficult to see how they connected that with hate speech towards George and trying to ruin Doug's campaign. No, they USED that as a weapon because of who I am and who I work with.

Edwin came to me the morning after I went on to the War Campaign show and said "I like Pussy," again having no idea who George Iiannoppolllis was or that anything was going on at all. I honestly didn't follow a lot of the trash being slung around and still don't pay all that much attention. So Edwin was upset, which I understood. He was confused how I can be friends with him and them jump on them with WC. I didn't know. I apologized.

Then Doug was in my DM's.

They were collecting all my rude acts online and he would use his position at his newspaper to ruin him. I was not given any of these emails or DM's.

I STAYED OUT OF IT. Never mentioned him again and completely let it go.

Now you are strawmanning. It doesn’t matter what he demanded from them. We will never know even if he did make demands. We do know that Doug considered Hut a close enough friend to give him that money and then make a snide comment in their DMs when they had a falling out.

Hut was going at people that Doug didn’t like for years and now we know why.
Hut showed his reciepts that clearly weren’t photoshopped, and Doug acted like an asshole afterwards and threatened legal action. Thus, pretty much making Hut have a nervous breakdown and sending him into a spiraling pit of depression. (Granted, that was pretty much karma for Hut) So, because of Doug’s manipulation of an obviously mentally deficient individual, Hut was left with no allies on the OGCG side, he had to come crawling back to CG with his tail tucked between his legs and apologize to a man he had been trying to take down for 3 years, then Doug threatens to sue him and if JDA is to be believed, he’s been constantly calling Hut daily.

Does that sound like the actions of a good man to you?

Whew, okay, the last few pages of this thread doesn't remove the fact that Christopher the Comic Book Hut produced arguably one of the worst (if not THE worst) indie comic crowdfund campaign of all time (or at least in the CG/anti-CG sphere.) From taking Doug Ernst retarded (or malicious) advice on having a 10k fixed goal, to turning on his overseers, publicly firing his letterer, dropping some partial receipts and promising more before going silent and ultimately canceling his campaign.

Any chance Christopher had to salvage his book and get pity bucks from the CG faithful is pretty much Pearl Harbored at this point.

This whole saga should be a lesson to up and coming creators:

1) you're not entitled to anyone's platform
2) set a realistic goal. Your passion project does not equal someone else's money.
3) the pros aren't your friends. Don't lean on them and instead build among the community. This was Hut's biggest failing, which I warned him about as far back as 2018
4) have fun. If your entire YouTube existence is built on trashing a movement that buys comics, your career was over before it started.

Ernst must have known exactly who Comic Book Hut would turn to with his appeals to Catholic brotherhood charity/implicit blackmail right away the moment Hut realized $1500 wasn't enough to fulfill Craptain Galaxy (Hut himself is incapable of thinking this far ahead). Only belatedly in his desire to alog with clean hands did Ernst realize he placed his reputation in the hands of an amoral retard who felt entitled to his money and platform in exchange for keeping their mutual secret under wraps.

And let's not pretend Hut wasn't capable of blackmail either, given that Hut actually did dump everything he had the moment he felt he wasn't getting what he wanted. Convincing Hut to set the goal to 10K circumvents the inevitable Hut blackmail and Doug shelling out thousands out of his own pocket for the pregnant space whale comic. The advice wasn't bad or malicious; it was intended to protect Doug because he knew Hut better than Hut knew himself..

Of course, allowing a literal sped to have dirt on you really goes to show how much Doug's anger overtook his common sense with this whole situation. Under normal circumstances nothing like this could ever be expected to happen.
