I get you but Kotaku and PJ are rather niche.

The NYT, Washington Examiner or even Slate aren't interested in CG as a threat or as something to support.

From the left that's especially egregious considering they blow up everything as a threat.

If I'm honest I don't follow scifi lit at all and had no idea who he was. I just thought it was funny how on point he is about JDA.

It's surprising to me that everyone doesn't see and treat him exactly as described by Larry at this point but some people are morons or grifters themselves I guess.

Im not saying I believe Mitch, but could Doug have thrown this threat out to Mitch, like he and frog have thrown out the the lawsuit word. Meaning its all bark. Hypothetical say Doug did threaten Mitch with a Washington Times article, how is Mitch supposed to know how credible a threat it is or not?

That's why I think that the only conceivable way Ernst shitting on Breitweiser through his existing journalistic connections would work is to use the vector of Kelsey's connection to the degenerates of Ethan's wing of CG. That's why he singled out Kelsey rather than any other person in that stream who was talking shit about him. He was the only one connected to Mitch.

Lefty journos would maybe care about the grifting faggotry of "conservative" Mitch fucking his backers to form an alliance with the evil, anti-union, capitalist megacorp Walmart. They would probably care less about degenerate shit like sex starved alcoholics having hour long conversations about Avengers themed dildos or Witten pissing all over the place. That's just a normal weekend for your average lefty journalist. Conservative media would have the opposite reaction: Walmart good, conservative created media good. Degeneracy, drunkenness, and salty language bad.

Not that it would be an effective plan, but it sounds more plausible than him using a left leaning outlet to give Mitch bad press.
 
Just caught up on the last few weeks worth of pages. In review:

- Hutt is a puppet
- Zack is bitchmade
- Ernst is a literal adolescent female
- Frog should never show receipts
- Kelsey is probably more trouble than he’s worth
- Mitch is definitely more trouble than he’s worth
- Liam and something about rape nobody cares

Sure, as a hypothetical Doug could have taken an AR15 to Mitch's house and threatened him physically. I'd expect there would be some proof it happened though. Video, police reports, a live stream in real time?

The point being that Mitch made a claim and as he reported it should have a ton of correspondence and voice messages to back this claim.

Had Mitch dropped those receipts at the time it would have been HUGE!!!!! A bombshell like that would have destroyed Ernst and garnered Mitch so much CG sympathy and good will that the Wal-Mart betrayal would be (mostly) forgiven, forgotten and Red Rooster would have sold a bunch more copies.

He didn't because as we have seen the receipts actually make Mitch look like he was running a gay op complete with sock accounts run by his retarded but lithesome wife. So he just shuts the fuck up about it while everyone piles on about the Wal-Mart deal because proving it was not a card he has in his hand. Instead, Mitch used sock accounts and got Frog to sell the narrative on his livestreams.

Mitch actually backed down when Doug offered to compare receipts. That's very telling.

Mitch managed to marry a hot chick from a moneyed politically connected family so I'm inclined to think his IQ is above room temp no matter how many times he bashes his head into his keyboard publicly.

Also he was smart enough to NDA everyone he worked with when it seemed like there was no need at the time.

Ok, but what if most of it was through a phone call. Most people arent Dale Gribble and record their own phone calls. Doug knowing this, might have preferred the phone call method over talking about it in DMs because there is a lot less likely chance of there being evidence left over.

We all have had 2-3 years plus hindsight to think about all this. Mitch would have had what, a day maybe 2, plus you add on the stress of the Wal-Mart deal and stress of fucking over your backers which was already in the works, so yes I dont think it would be pretty obvious, even if he had an IQ above room temp, that Doug would just be bluffing if it happened.
Anyways, I think both sides here are assholes in this. Im just playing devils advocate because, without all the evidence we will never know for sure. Hell Im am leaning towards Mitch lying about all of this and using Doug acting like a scorned woman to gain some sympathy from Frog and CG. Like I have said many time, if Doug doesnt act like faggot, none of this Doug/Beitweiser shit happens.

Anyone who has followed CG over the years knows phone calls are exceedingly rare and besides all the evidence indicates that Mitch refused to take any phone calls from Doug at all.

It's hard to threaten someone by phone if they don't pick up unless you leave a message.

Cecil and Malin seemed to know something before the 25th. That's two days before the blow up with Betty's gay ops and Ethan claims before he knew anything.

PJ is a summary of what happened with Lim. They're not the issue here. If you read the article, you'll note that it started with The Mary Sue. Then if you read this article, you'll note it was picked up by Salon too.

Mary Sue is niche, but I would argue Salon ain't so much.

And as for Kotaku... ehhhh... I guess it depends on your POV. They're uncomfortably big in gaming and anime news. The funny thing about Kotaku trying to make hay about CG is they were right at the center of Comicsgate's even more decrepit, grifty, and autistic grandfather: Gamergate. Zoe Quinn allegedly slept with Nathen Grayson for a positive review for her stupid Depression Quest game. Then, their sister site, i09, was at the center of the Vic thing (which caused WeebWars). So the whole Univision (formerly Gawker) media empire has absolutely proven to be a factor in several reactionary campaigns like GG, CG, and WW.

No right-wing publication (which is what the Washington Times very definitely is) is gonna find it very palatable to fuck up a deal between an anti-SJW comics "thing" and WalMart (the paragon of union-busting mega capitalism). Again, Doug ostensibly answers to an editor. Not only is such an article not within the WT's wheelhouse, but if they have any sort of journalistic standards, they wouldn't let him write it because of the obvious conflict of interest. Not that Doug would probably want the byline for it anyways, given how he worked with Hut.

If he worked for some left-wing rag, we could talk about this. Otherwise, even if we were to give Mitch the maximum benefit of the doubt, and assume Doug indeed made this asinine bluff to Mitch, Mitch is arguably a dumb dumb for even thinking Doug could pull it off.

So we're left with one of two conclusions here:

1. Mitch is stupid.
2. Mitch is lying.

True enough, but that's something he can, and apparently did, pull off. His Washington Times connection seems completely worthless for going after FROG or YBZ. The Hut thing happened because Doug might have felt he wanted to do something to fuck with his CG enemies, but didn't want his name attached to it.

Before I move on, I do have to sincerely ask you a legit question. Are you A) Doug B) One of Doug's close friends(dont have to say who, just yes or no) C) You just Really Really Really hate @FROG or D) other? I only ask because you are going very very hard in the paint on this Doug/Hut/Kelsey/Mitch thing. Like way more so than any other of EVS's a-logs on here.
