I'm surprised for how long the alternative indie comics movement has been going on, not one author or artist has concocted a fun story where cars or airplanes are part of the theme. Maybe I'm just unaware if any exist, but there seems to be a nice vacuum for an Initial D, Wangan Midnight, Last Exile type inspired comic.

When we did the big data analysis of comicsgate twitter we found that the French, Belgians and Italians had zero representation in CG. Not because they don't care about comics but because their industries are strong.
Interesting and makes sense. Also probably doesn't help that they're predominantly different language speakers.

The Dutch have a huge presence in CG relative to their nation size despite English being their second language too. Same is true for a few South American countries. It actually coming up on a year since we last scraped that data so we'll probably look at it again soon.

In other non based blackman news.

Arkhaven (The Webtoon alt) looks like it has been doing well. https://www.arkhaven.com

What's the context? What's Arkhaven? Does it have something to do with Comicsgate? I scrolled down a little and the only thing I recognized was Stonetoss. I saw the words Deus Vult too and for a moment thought they were gay enough to host JDA.

Arkhaven was created by Vox Day and Chuck Dixon as an alternative Webcomic platform. It was made to get away from censorship. They made is around a year ago and have quietly been getting new artists, authors and have been uploading new comics.

Chuck Dixon used to work for Marvel and DC Comics and wrote for Punisher, Batman, Nightwing and Robin. He also created the Supervillain Bane.

Chuck has been creating new comics on Arkhaven and both the story and the art is quite good imo.

An example is My Sister Suprema.

I know they got Joe Bennett, who was the artist on Immortal Hulk, when he was cancelled last year. Bounding into comics wrote about it Here.

Arkhaven Comics Lead Editor Vox Day added his own comments saying, “Arkhaven Comics was founded to be a haven of freedom and an ark of liberty for creative people who aren’t interested in having their thoughts, their speech, and their artistic creations policed by social justice warriors.”

Zoological Society of... Jersey and Long beach?

Zack Snyder Justice League. The abrupt collapse of a sister fandom movement within a week after the Rolling Stone expose and now Jim Lee stating on panels flat out that there is no work planned for future Snyderverse material has been interesting. Frog has been having a coffin dance over the demise of the fledgling movie director-centered cult of course, but let's take a look at some of the other reactions to this development.

MechaRandom has taken the opportunity to claim victory in her own classy way.

Meanwhile Jeremy from Geeks and Gamers has decided to acknowledge the controversy over the astroturfed movement he sold "muh brand" out for by saying absolutely nothing at all.

The most sparks by far were in the anti-anti-SJW scene, where hating Comicsgate and the Fandom Menace doesn't necessarily mean you're against #ReleaseTheSnyderCut, which is held up in comparison as a good guy movement that just wants to make grimdark spandex movies and doesn't do drama. Here the unlikely duo of Matt Jarbo and Forced Adversity (who has returned to hanging around Jarbo and yelling about Comicsgate after failing to make it in the much more competitive breadtuber scene) spent several hours teaming up against the still in denial Mad Max for hours, an anti-Fandom Menace gadfly in a Doctor Doom mask who still fervently believes the Snyderverse is going to happen.

But the most interesting reaction was from consoom-tuber and vocal anti-Snyder advocate Jody from Jody's Corner. Jody is mostly famous for calling out @YoungRippa59 for allegedly serving as a racial shield for toxic right wing ideologies, to which Rippa rebutted primarily by pointing out Jody's obesity, his lower financial stratum in relation to YoungRippa, and alleging that he partakes in the use of crack cocaine.

Anyways, the reason why this video is of interest is that Jody relates an encounter back in 2018 where he, posing as a fellow Snyder-fanatic, gassed up Zack Snyder's cameraman and self-described best pal Clay Enos into spilling his spaghetti in person about Snyder venting about how much he hates Geoff Johns, Jon Berg and Kevin Tsujihara. Now that the Rolling Stone article is out, he's going to burn his very close source by quoting him by name, verbatim.

Don’t forget him having two kids by other women and talking about “getting bitches”.

That's not his first grief with Paypal too.

After all of the ways PayPal has fucked over so many people I can't believe people still insist on using it. If you're that terrified of using a credit card for random sites just get a reloadable card. Same damn level of security as sticking to ONLY using Visa or Mastercard or whoever's site as it is ONLY using PayPal's site but you don't have to put up with PayPal's bullshit.

I don't know much about it except it being kino (word of mouth, never personally read it), but apparently BRZRKR, the Keanu Reeves comic is getting an anime made by Production I.G., who are known for their kino anime films & the 15 minute Kill Bill animation sequence, they also made a Batman film. It'll have 2 seasons & will sadly be on Netflix.
