That's not unprecedented. Neil Gaiman is on record supporting at least some piracy of his work, because he feels it increases his exposure.

Which is not to say YBZ is as talented as Gaiman, but there's an argument to made for it.

Addressed on last night's belated SimpCast by G+G/FNT's own XRay Girl who says the quiet part out loud, making clear she actually has zero interest in any of this nerd shit.
Well, you gotta appreciate the honesty, at least.

Meanwhile, Brittany Venti reveals she has no idea what its like to not have men trying to fuck her since she seems to believe that men generally tolerate negging from unattractive women and they do it because of their "low emotional intelligence" or something.
She's probably not wrong. The only high I.Q. gigachad move for dealing with bossy women is to put your foot down and say "no." (*cough* Vikki *cough*).

I seriously can not listen to more than a minute of this shrill woman's shrieking. What happened?
Frog dressed up like Lex Luthor. Actually I'm not so sure he dressed up. Anyway that's all I got, not listening to that shit either.
I made it, I dunno, 45 seconds
I have the day off and am playing a video game ATM. I volunteer to listen to it as best I can while doing that and report back.

So far, it opens with @FROG saying a prayer for Nerdette, was seems to perturb her greatly. LOL.

In other news, I tried to watch an archive of JDA's Dankstream last night, but he's apparently started making them subscription only. On the one hand, that might account for a loss of milk but, on the other hand, perhaps less people will be subjected to Vito the Pedo.

I haven't watched his videos in months but I checked this one out. It was apparently a reaction to the Gay Batman thing. He complains that he spent years and thousands of dollars supporting the industry and he won't anymore. Then talks about Dale Keown taking over Hulk early and getting inked by the previous penciler's Inker. Which he discovers as a consequence of going to the Russian Piracy websites.

Looking at what is on offer I don't think I could bring myself to even steal a comic produced by the big two this year. I was going to keep tabs on Donny Cate's Hulk book, but I didn't make it past issue 4. It was awful and when I left Bruce Banner was piloting the Hulk like a Gundam.

I think comics are basically Rainbow propaganda at this point. You will be made to care. You will have your characters be gay.

Only somewhat related to this topic is a recent controversy involving the Spider-Man PC port. Eagerly anticipated due to being moddable (and getting players into the Symbiote suit) One mod removed the game's Rainbow flags.

scrnli_8_16_2022_1-12-55 PM.png

Nexus mods a popular host for PC mods responded not only by removing the mod, but also banning the user who published it.

If you're not familiar with PC modding, it's unofficial modification of a game. You can change textures, character skins, colors, etc... You can even add things to a game. By this user publishing the mod that removed the Rainbow flag you would have to go out of your way to install it, and use it. This is not something the average user would ever discover without searching for it. It's at times complicated as well.

Simply put, Nexus mods went out of its way to make sure you could not avoid the rainbow flags. Even if you as a private player of this software did not want to see those flags in the game, you don't have a choice to remove them. You will be made to care, and you will support the Rainbow agenda.

Batman, Spider-Man, nothing is safe from the Rainbow agenda.

If you're so offended by gay flags why would you buy and support the game in the first place? Going out of your way to remove the gay flags is something the average person wouldn't do, so Nexus Mods is right that it takes a special kind of bigot to want this mod. That said, the ban was unjustified.

Nerdette vs. EVS debate review, part I (the first 30 minutes):

- EVS opens by asking Nerdette if she is anti-Christian. Claiming that he heard from some people that she was (my money is that comes from a certain hispanic). Nerdette claims she isn't. EVS then says a mildly amusing prayer for Nerdette that is basically a thinly veiled criticism of her.
- Nerdette asks EVS to explain CG. Ethan states that CG is a reaction to social justice being included in comics. Nerdette states that social justice has always been in comics. EVS counters that it hasn't in the manner that it is now.
- Nerdette claims that "Literally... LITERALLY... Superman... his start was dealing with social justice" (like, oh my gawd, and stuff!). Her voice and cadence is annoying.
- EVS retorts that modern social justice is "collectivizing people based on race, gender, and sexual preferences."
- He then starts talking about sexual perversions, which doesn't seem to make Nerdette happy. She asks him what she considers a perversion, and EVS says "fucking children and animals." Nerdette says "Obviously, nobody is okay with that!"
- EVS then returns to the idea of "collectivizing"people. Nerdette asks for examples of comics that do that. EVS can't or won't do it. He states that she should already know the answer to that based on her past affiliation with CG, and the fact she reviewed comics. Nerdette states that she only did that because "I believed your bullshit."
- Nerdette opines that his collectivization argument falls flat, and that he's really more mad about the particular type of politics that are now being included in comics. To her credit, she has a bit of a point. EVS seems to mainly take umbrage at certain things included in comics now, and not this whole "collectivizing" thing that he does a piss poor job explaining.
- Nerdette asks why it's a big deal to have a gay Spiderman. EVS counters with "Why is it a big deal to have a straight Spiderman?" I think he wants to go for the Socratic method here, but it's a gay as Batman and Spiderman apparently are now. It comes across as him dodging the question. He would have done a better job if he talked about changing pre-established characters and alienating readers by doing that.
- EVS gives Nerdette shit for having an avatar that says "Batman is gay." A really autistic argument ensues over how in your face gay Batman is now. EVS argues it might be implied, and doesn't like the fact that Nerdette seems to claim its a major character trait now. I gather this is an attempt to cast Nerdette as a SJW, but it kinda backfires in that he seems to be arguing the gay batman comic isn't very SJW right after being seemingly unable to point to an SJW comic.
- Now we turn to Spiderman. EVS says Spiderman is flamboyantly gay. Nerdette says some gay people are flamboyant. EVS says he doesn't care. This is dumb and goes nowhere.
- EVS predicts that Nerdette will kick him off the channel before the debate is through. Then he launches into a prayer for Nerdette again.
- Somebody please kill me.
- Nerdette asks EVS why there are so many people asking for refunds on his campaigns, and EVS initially feigns ignorance but then concedes people are, and they can have then. He also launches into his spiel about how crowdfunding is not sales. Nerdette wants to know why EVS has lost backers on one or more of his campaigns. She seems confused as to which one, and he asks for proof. She pulls up the Rainbow Brute campaign, but it turns out she's wrong because she didn't understand that the lower figure she thought was the current figure pre-dates the higher figure. She admits she fucked up and apologizes, but then wants to know why EVS has answered the people asking for refunds. EVS claims he's busy. Nerdette claims he's shit at customer service.
- EVS then starts talking about "left wingers in comics" and the left wingers Nerdette hangs out with. Nerdette asks "who?" and Ethan says "Okay, well, anyways Nerdette..." and trails off. It feels like he built up a strawman and she called him out on it.
- EVS laments the fact you can't be outwardly right-wing in comics anymore.
- Debate over whether turning characters gay is a new thing. Nerdette says it's been going for a while and starts readings from some list alphabetically. Ethan calls her on that, but doesn't seem to explain why using a list is bad, or whether the list is wrong.
- More shit about Nerdette making a big deal out of batman being gay.
- EVS opines characters that were not gay from the start should not be made gay (I agree with this). Nerdette says it's okay to do that if it's alternate take on the character. The difference of opinion seems to stem from the distinction between completely new and fresh characters versus alternate takes on existing characters. Put another way, they both seem to agree that Peter Parker should not turn gay. But EVS thinks no Spiderman should be gay, whereas Nerdette thinks a non-Peter Parker Spiderman could be gay.
- Nerdette brings up the son of Superman (John Kent). EVS says it's ridiculous that he's bisexual. Nerdette asks why that's ridiculous. Ethan says "Nerdette, I don't care." He elaborates on this by saying he doesn't give a shit about Superman's son, but doesn't address why he John Kent shouldn't be bisexual.

Elapsed time: 26:43.

TL;DR so far: Ethan seemingly can't explain what social justice is and where to find it in comics, and Nerdette seemingly asks the right questions to suss that out, but her voice is so grating it's hard to listen to. I have to give Nerdette credit for coming across as more intellectually honest than Ethan, even though she's obnoxious. Perhaps equally painful is that Ethan seems to dodge a lot of her substantive questions. She did take an L on the Rainbow Brute thing though.

I think Nerdette leads in the first quarter. Up your game, @FROG.

Anyways, I'm about 25% of the way, but I need a break before I kill myself. Let me know if anybody cares enough to hear the rest. Believe me, I won't be offended if you don't. Alternatively, maybe @Mister Dongs might want to give it a go. He seems more masochistic than any of us. God bless him.

With Vito specifically? Not really. He's already Dick Masterson's co-host on The Biggest Problem in the Universe, so I guess you could say the template was already there if you wanna go the shock jock route.

Thing is, Masterson is a lolbertarian hedonist, whereas Jon claim to be a conservative Christian.

I didn't watch his videos on Amouranth, but I'm gonna take a wild guess he didn't mention the fact that even if John Leigh never touched anybody inappropriately, he'd see be an adulter. Correct me if I'm wrong.

This whole fake Christian shit in CG is gayer than the gays they bitch about. It's all a ruse to feel holier than thou, and a convenient escape hatch when they get into trouble.

If you can stand it, please watch and report on the rest @Captain Manning
I'll try do the next next quarter this evening. It sounded like they were going to go into the Ernst shit. Frog might do better there.

Doesn’t FNT/simpcast/etc have their own thread? They aren’t CG, they don’t really have anything to do with CG. They’re bigger than CG has ever been and 99% of the FNT related content in this thread has nothing to do with CG.

The FNT thread never took off so, all their bullshit filters out over here.

I seriously can not listen to more than a minute of this shrill woman's shrieking. What happened?

They argued about Doug Earnst, whether or nor not EVS called her stupid and how her voice is the reason her channel doesn’t get many views.

Basically it was circular arguments and Nerdette showing the people how dumb she is.

2 more things on that is that the modder isn't just normally banned from the site, but IP banned. There's also an unconfirmed speculation of sorts that says that the mod is just an asset change to the localisations of the Middle Eastern release of the game. Also, you can still find the mod.

Dating apps, social media, and the Pareto principle have teamed up to produce the thirstiest generation of men in human history, leading to an unprecedented bumper crop of 49ers.

I wonder if this means he's changed his retarded stance on doing review videos of 80s and 90s comics he's pirated since he "can't monetize something he didn't pay for". Zack must think Marvel is checking reviewer's receipts to make sure they're reading a copy they paid for. Smart move since we all know about the absurd amount of comic review channels that have been shut down for reviewing comics that couldn't provide proof of purchase.

If you're so offended by gay flags why would you buy and support the game in the first place?
I would assume the gay flags were not involved in the marketing campaign for the game and that the people who were so bothered didn't realize the game had been festooned with virtual fruit banners. They'd have to buy the game (and thus support it) to see them and be bothered.

Part 2 of the Nerdette vs. EVS debate:

The pain continues.

- Nerdette asks how many campaigns EVS has fulfilled. EVS says 15. Nerdette asks whether it's "emasculating" that people are delivering on their product within months of campaign close, and Ethan takes years. Ethan says no. Nerdette says fair enough.
- Nerdette points out Eric July's crowdfunding success. EVS takes some credit for Eric July's success. Saying that he's been following his prescription. He claims that July was texting EVS for two years before he started his comic asking for advice. EVS states the distinction between July and him is that Eric frontloaded a lot of the funding for the comic. I dunno how much that would mean he's following EVS's prescription though. That's a pretty major deviation.
- IMO, The debate starts to swing more in EVS's favor at this point. There's some autistic back and forth of discussion concerning Daily Wire films. This is prompted by Ethan saying what he's doing with Cyberfrog is designed to be a feature film one day. That might seem grandiose and silly, and might even cause many of his other critics to laugh, but Nerdette drastically lowers the I.Q. in the room by asking whether he's aiming for a "real feature film" or a "Daily Wire feature film?" Ethan stares for a moment with a stupefied expression on his face (I don't blame him). Nerdette that derps out even more by claiming that Daily Wire is the mainstream. Which I think is inconsistent with trying to draw a distinction between a Daily Wire film, and any other in the first place. Ethan asks her point blank what's the difference, and she says she's just curious. I don't know what the hell point she was trying to make here. She also says that she fully expects that Eric July to get a deal with Daily Wire (honey, he's gotta fulfill first, and you should know that based upon how you just grilled EVS earlier on fulfilment).
- Turgid discussion about homosexuality in which Nerdette asks Ethan whether he thinks it's a sin. Ethan does not commit to a response. It's dumb. I'm not even gonna bother.
- Discussion about Douglas Ernst which is prompted by the following superchat:

1660710097373.png

I dunno if this is another one of those "a Douglas Ernst" accounts (ht to @Mister Dongs), but it inevitably leads into a discussion about the Hut shit. Nerdette believes Doug did nothing wrong. Ethan points out the e-mails that Hut showed. He could have, but didn't, point out the discussion in this thread, in which the majority of those posting in this thread also concluded that Doug used Hut as a proxy. There seems to be this trend where the die-hard EVS alogs don't want to acknowledge Ernst did a long-term gay op with Hut. She claims Doug is nice to her, and that EVS e-fapping Critical Thinking was "shitty." She further claims that the e-mail that have video attachments with the exact titles in the subject line that Hut used for his videos is just "discussion between friends as to what is going on the industry." Most of chat isn't having any of this. Examples:

1660710961575.png

1660711091390.png

1660711140648.png

In opposition to this, Vikki is in the chat screeching about how Ethan didn't show sufficient proof.

- Nerdette tries to change the vector of her attack by bitching about how Ethan shows moral superiority over Ernst, but attacks people himself. EVS counters that he attacks people directly, and not through a proxy. To be fair, it could be debated that the WC shit might be an example of him doing otherwise in the past, but Nerdette doesn't bring that up. Maybe she's too dumb or uninformed.

- Then we get into some claims EVS made regarding the viability of D.C. Comics, and how his claims didn't pan out. He basically says that his information came from valid sources regardless of whether not all of it came to pass.

- Her voice now makes me want to slit my wrists. I'm going to stop it there for now.

TD;DR: Ethan does much better in the second quarter. Nerdette largely comes across as an uninformed retard.

I'll try to do the next two parts tomorrow.

Comes from this?

People have told me angles, filters, and all the makeup you can buy at CVS, and that she's likely a landwhale, but I dunno man.

Frankly, I have a certain measure of respect for @FROG for agreeing to do this.

Wait, what? Did I do a Rip Van Winkle and wake up in 2067? What is this list of campaigns in double digits?
He said "we deliver", so he might be doing what @The Bovinian Derivative just said.

Nerdette did ask whether some of that was ancillary merch like T-shits, and he said yes.

I think the issue with FROG isn't that he hasn't delivered on campaigns. He most certainly has. Rather it's that he takes forever and a day to do so. It's not so much that CG is a scam, as it's just notoriously incompetent on fulfillment. Jury is still out on Cecil though.

Your suffering will be rewarded in inner heaven, I'm sure.

That being said, Nerdette is particularly funny cgow because she thirstily chased CG before becoming disenchanted. The fun is you could take Nerdette circa two years ago and she would literally have nodded her vacuous head with @FROG .

There is a whole list of these fake geek girls that PMS'd out and pulled a 180. Pink Geek, Starfire cunt, and this girl come to mind.

Lul

He ran a bunch of campaigns off of the first book. All fulfilled. It's a bit cheap, but it's also a shit talking point I wish his detractors would shut up about. You can hammer any number of people over fulfillment.

Frog isn't one of them. He's slow.

You are doing God's work! Please keep going because there is no way I could sit through EVS's 11 hour "Closeout Stream" in which he talks about this debate over and over to different co-host.

It is hard to believe, but I always have a hard time imagining what someone looks like from just hearing their voice. For example, when I listen to someone on the radio for a while and make a mental picture of what I think they look like, it is always very different from their actual looks. I think it is the angles and filters that help a lot. The fact that she is willing to show her face, but never show a full body picture is pretty sus to me and usually points to being a land whale. Also, you cant show pictures of your face and then claim its for privacy that you never show a full body picture or a picture without angles or digital enhancements.
