20 dollars for a 20 something page book with only ten pages of actual story is waaay too expensive! Meanwhile with guys like Tim Lim and Doug Earnst, you get 40 plus page books for ten dollars. In fact most campaigns sell their books for 15 dollars.

This should have been ten bucks, tops.

Not only are Lim's books $15-16($10 plus shipping), it is hardback and is already done before the campaign even goes live.

The Guy that owns Iconic Comics and Bell County Comic Con is a nerdy asian, seemingly fairly wealthy, cosplayer. Since he owns both Iconic Comics and the con, he always has Kamen America on the billboards and in some of the branding for the con. Its a good business strategy to help push more Iconic books and also lets the Kamen America creators crew brag on twitter about having Kamen America on billboards for the con(though they conveniently leave out the fact that the same person owns both the publisher and the con). I know there is a post on here with pictures about the guy, but I was unable to find it.

The interior art is actually significantly better than the cover art, a truly insane marketing choice to be sure. It's always annoying to see a campaign with a cover that makes it look like a real comic, and then the interior art is like a child's scribbles, but that's an understandable con at least, caused by the budget.

Man, if everyone who complained about late books backed my books (all but one have been on time or early, and the one late campaign was only like by three months) I'd have $250,000 each campaign.

Think it through. Your stuff is so awful people would literally rather throw money away and get nothing than buy something you make. I'm sure plenty of people here will scoff at the idea that CG makes a good faith effort at fulfillment (or much of anything), but good luck calling it a TOS violation. I think if FROG were objectively in TOS violation for having multiple unfulfilled campaigns, Vikki would be making 50 tweets a day about it. Instead, I think even she knows that's a non-starter. IGG doesn't seem to care.

There have been multiple examples of Kickstarter campaign creators running off with the money a month after the campaign ended. Kickstarter's response is essentially "shit happens".
In the case of Karl O'Rowe, who posted that he only had the cover of the book left to finish and then disappeared for a year, IGG just took his campaign offline until he came back, since it was still InDemand.

Both Indiegogo and Kickstarter put a disclaimer right above the final pay button that pretty much says that you may not receive anything for your monetary contribution. Im pretty sure on Kickstarter you have to tick a box that has the disclaimer in it before you can even click the final button to back.

I just don't know how well that holds up legally. There's a difference between someone posting updates for months and then going "Oops, I accidentally deleted the files" and someone disappearing as soon as the money clears, not even keeping up pretenses.
"Crowdfunding is not pre-ordering" and all, but some cases are outrageous and Kickstarter specifically has no issues coming down on campaigns for ideological reasons.

It's sort of easy to miss but the EVS paypig went to the effort of arguing with a bank to put the transaction through. The bank said it was fraud. If that was as per the normal bank clerk system, this means the "health check" on their screen is listing something to do with EVS as fraud. Most likely the number of chargebacks he's caused.
It isn't indiegogo because banks are still processing other people's projects by the hour.
It may unironically be over.
There was more than one person saying the same thing by the way - declined due to fraud, unable to process, etc.
EVS is less reputable than a Ukrainian camwhore site.
