It's not. Indeed, I would agree that when it comes to unmitigated scumfuckery, nobody does it like CG. That's what we're trying to tell you. It's expected from CG at this point, but it wasn't expected from Ernst.

Ernst took a ding to his rep that was entirely unnecessary and avoidable. Moreover, as we saw just recently, it only gives EVS something to dredge up and bitch about instead of doing actual work.

Keep in mind Lim did that "glove of truth" shit many moons ago, and that was also dumb. So Iconic doesn't have a spotless record. They do have one that is considerably less filthy though.

I am convinced the best way to beat EVS, to whatever extent anyone may feel that should be their goal, is to keep ones nose to the grindstone and get your customers the product they pay for in a reasonable amount of time. No gay ops are necessary. Gay ops just help EVS spin a victim narrative.

I just think someone maneuvering themselves into a position where they're getting blackmailed by a special needs person is fucking funny, and also probably a sign that said person fucked up somewhere along the way to allow that to happen. I forgot though that whether Frog did something similar or not is the ultimate barometer of human morality.

Doug Ernst got involved with a retard named Comic Book Hut and made a fool of himself. It didn't really rise to the level of a gayop. The lesson in what happened for people in CG or around CG is that you never get involved with retards. Especially you never offer retards any help whatsoever with their dreams of making comic books or anything else.

It was very similar to what happened to Nasser when he offered help to Liam Grey on Liam's first comic. The penguin comic that failed. Help is offered to the retard. In the retard's mind, the person who offered the help is now responsible for everything that happens with their comic. If the comic fails, there is going to be rage directed at the person who offered the help. Rage that is going to turn into retarded claims and public statements.

Ernst humiliated himself and deserved to own everything about it at the time. But I don't know what any of it means today.

The other thing that what Ernst did is very similar to is Ethan Van Sciver's present decision to ally himself with an all-star collection of LOLCOWs and retards in his war with Eric July. Getting in bed with Dick, Vito, Mint, Ralph, Nick and so on is setting him up for a similar experience. Retards being Retards and all.....

It's not worse, but it was an unforced L for Ernst at that time. He had a pretty clean reputation up to then and this was one of those cases where he really shouldn't have tried to fight tardfire with tardfire. Sciverfrog didn't need to pay his cronies directly, his sphere of influence was an open invitation to harvest the sweet superchat paypiggy juices if not an all out amateur crowdfunded comic book. It was all about the promotion. But Ernst was supposed to know better and for me at least, it was a big disappointment. Now I count it as a lesson learned. He's pretty much kept his distance for all I can tell and focused on his own books. That's how it's supposed to work.

The thing with Sciverfrog is that you really don't need to do anything but watch the house burn down by his own hand. The other part is documentation, which is by the way why Dongs is highly valued around here. He's not the only one, but probably the most consistent guy with the receipts and summations. Even if you don't agree with Dong's conclusions, his information is still useful and it's available to all.

But my forte is the retarded a-log commentary. The longer this charade goes on, the more vindicated me and my brothers in frog-logging become. It even sounds halfway sensible at times! I might even be fair and balanced?!! I remember a time when this thread had a pretty decent representation of the now extinct species: the EVS simp/stan. Sciverfrog can only now wish for those heady days of his enemies falling over themselves just to tweek his nose. Oh how the turntables have scratched and reversed! So let the speculation begin: will the Scivergate saga conclude with accusations of sexpestering, divorce, career suicide, a contract hit or all of the above? Stay trooned!

Edit: According the livestream (about 104 minutes in, he says he got the vax and thinks it "did some damage to him.") Vaxx injury to end the saga?

Yes Ethan probably is sending Comic Hut the same kind of clips seeing as hut is towing the Ethangate line making anti- July videos etc. But this will never be news because it's a drop of scumbaggery in an ocean of the stuff.
 
Its funny how the split with War Campaign was them thinking Anna was stepping over them to make cash/put out a bad product, now Frog is feeling the same thing about July, but Anna herself is playing it neutral.

@Newman‘s Own went pretty hard on the paint for Earnst when the Comic Book Hut thing went down. Even bringing up four year old beef and private conversations to EVS just keep the argument going and this was after a six month absence from this forum.

After that and being the top EVS a log for years, I am fairly certain that @Newman’s Own is Doug Earnst.

People forget that was the second split with WC, first was the Fall of Rome. The second chance in Scivergate is short lived. Then a death blow mantra is formed and repeated ad nauseum to the paypigs so they never support them again, like an Anna's sister, a dungeoneers, etc. Anna and Ethan themselves are just acting selfishly.
