It was his first ARCA race start since he didn't qualify for the two previous ones he tried. He did finish the race but was never competitive, falling a lap behind quickly and only falling further behind as the race progressed (finishing 8 laps behind). He might've held back on purpose to not risk damaging the car and at least lasting the whole race. Still, bragging about your big Top 10 finish when there were only 16 cars to start is pretty shifty. None of his followers are going to know that.

Correct. Rippa is so successful no amount of criticism will get to him. Everyone is a Detractor or Hater and therefore not capable of "Good Faith" arguments. He has a considerable amount of fans who "gatekeep" the Rippaverse for him. His books will never improve. He can put out any product (i.e. Shitty Trailer) and all criticism falls under hating or bad faith.

Pick your battles. Multiple EFAP streams to shit on a 3-minute CW-looking trailer doesn't make it look not hating or good faith. There's suddenly dozens of film experts in the chat chanting "bad angles". It's just as dronish a behavior as the one you're attributing to July's fans.
