For the record, The Critical Drinker found Venom 3 a fun movie. Incoherent and stupid, but well paced and exploring the relationship between Brock and the symbiote with better care than the other ones, so probably the best film in a trilogy of mediocre, forgettable crap.

I just listened to it. I thought it was a solid review. Whether or not you agree with him, it's a comprehensive look at the film, it's aspects, and it's larger context.

These sound like reasonable takes. It's no wonder Zack started sperging out and screeching about how unfair the movie is being treated.

Zack is such a sweetheart. They know how international box offices work. (If he watched their videos, he'd know.) But the problem is, Venom has made shite for opening, and it's been memed on since being announced. International markets are naturally bigger since... and stay with me here Zack, it's the rest of the world. Here's my prediction as someone who reads box-office dailies... This movie will drop. Bottom out and just coast, it'll make its money back barely, but not enough for it to be a Deadpool Wolverine or even Inside Out 2. It won't be a barbie nor an Oppenheimer. It'll most likely be about where Joker was, with a possible slant toward Alien Romulus. That's it.

He always pretends like it didn't happen, even when people are humiliating him personally. Even when he got a back-full of hot lead in the Iconic/Comic Book Hut scandal, I think the most he did was open a couple of videos with "today was a sad day" style musing. (Unless he discussed it on his private twitter which 50 people read.)

He may be guided in his social behavior entirely by minute obsession and autism, but he is deliberate rather than reflexive in who he chooses to criticize. It's part of why he's been slow to descend into the kind of sloppy, ugly life spectacle his decisions would suggest are past due.
