I can't believe the incredibly cultured Zach can't tell the difference between a British and Scottish accent. Has Drinker ever pretended to be into comics? He's pretty up front about not knowing source material for movies from my memory. His entire brand is movies, with a small subset for video games (specifically Resident Evil). Gary, Az and Rippa are the only people openly very into comics, you'd be hard press to make the claim they're faking it.

Also incredible, after years of comics, hollywood and gaming rotting inside out from leftism he now wants to GATE KEEP (that's the term you're looking for Zach, gate keeping) anyone even critical of why they're in the state they're in. Aside from Rippa who just built his own foundation outside of the rot, who needs to be gatekept Zach? Drinker never claimed to follow comics and Gary and Az have largely dropped it, they haven't bought a new mainstream release in something like 4 years, they're already out and don't want back in.

That guy has been openly hyper conservative, nationalist, overtly religious for a number of years now and has been an obnoxious right wing culture warrior far longer than anyone he vitriolically hates. A few years ago I think he even said people like Nerdrotic and Drinker were more important in pushing back against leftist politics than actual right wing politicians. Zack is clearly taking umbrage with the fact that Drinker released a comic, despite clearly not being a fan of the medium. I mean, what kind of retard would put some "Birthday Party Clown" in charge of a comic that they're asking people to pre-pay for. Arch got forced out of his original channel's Warhammer identity by the same woke gatekeepers who ruined the comic industry. (Warhammer hasn't been as destroyed as comics though, at least not yet.) That said, I don't really watch him much because I don't really find his non-Warhammer content appealing. He doesn't make me so ANGERY I want to get into a random street fight with him though.

Also, comic books are general audiences slop, you don't have to be a comics super fan to review them (or write them). You can dislike the majority of comics and like some old comics or some niche comics, that's allowed. You can review comics without making "comic book guy" your identity, that's also allowed. No one has to uncritically praise slop just because they didn't make their whole identity about mainstream comics.

He got tired of reviewing comics. Understandable given how awful contemporary comics have become and how the guy has ADHD that keeps him from focusing on finishing anything.
He used the WuFlu face mask requirement to get into comic book stores as an excuse to stop.

Too bad that instead of stopping and dedicate himself to finish and deliver his books, he opted to "diversify" and hence, prove he knows jack shit of anything else related to pop-culture.

Meyer is incredibly contrarian. He obviously notices that SJWs are now on a losing streak but can't bring himself to side with the new right wing majority no matter their alignment.
